yeah EliteXC is fun to watch here and there. But in no way does Shaw want to put his top fighters against UFCs. It would get messy

Shaw seems to be forgetting that Zuffa bought Pride, and for the most part, the UFC champs have whooped on the Pride fighters.

I think Shaw's over-stepping his bounds. Any of the guys he mentioned would get hurt badly in the UFC.

His arguments are legitimate. And you guys can't expect him to go on record and say "yeah well my fighters aren't as good". Anyways, I think kimbo would take out quite a few of the UFC heavyweights just because he's fought so many times.

I think he has a valid point. Even though I think that the top UFC guys would work almost all of the fighters from Bodog, Elitexc, etc., Dana should work to set up fights between other organizations.

I understand Dana's point of view. He feels that by pitting his champions against a rival organizations champions, he is giving them credibility as an organization. Because they are competitors in the business of MMA, he wants them to fail, not be legitimized.

I don't know, I guess I'm torn. I want to see top UFC guys face top guys from other orgs, but I don't MMA to become like boxing with multiple belts, all of them taking away credibility from the other belt holders. Whatever.....

No offense to EliteXC but they're presentation is just terrible.

How they award the title belt to the champions after they win is just messy and unorthodox.

If they put their elites against the UFC elites, UFC would crush them.

Lets pair up some top UFC with top EliteXC

here goes.

Noguiera vs. Slice

Sheilds vs. GSP

Noons vs. BJ Penn

Lawler vs. Anderson Silva

Frank Shamrock vs. Anderson Silva

Jesus man. They're website is so unorthodox. They don't even list there fighters by divisions.

Do they even have a 205 pound weight class because I couldn't find any of them on their website?

Shaw is trying to get legitimized by baiting Dana into setting up cross fights.....can't blame him for trying! He wants to make a truck load of money too.

We all know that XC fighters are not in the same league as the UFC elite so let him talk!

i dunno if i was dana

i wouldnt even respond to this

The most solid advice I can give to anyone who fights BJ Penn not motivate the guy. Lets face it, BJ although talented, is naturally lazy. Your job is to NOT convince him to step on that treadmill.
