Hughes vs. Sanchez
There has been talk that Sanchez next fight could be a title fight! Hughes vs. Sanchez could very well be a reality! Diego has faced some pretty stiff compition like Nick Diaz, John Alessio, and Karo Parysian. He has won all of these matches but does he have what it takes to beat Matt Hughes? Your thoughts!

Lets talk about this for a second, look at their last.....well say 5 fights
Hughes has beaten:
Bj Penn
Royce Gracie
Joe Riggs
Frank Trigg
GSP
Diego has beaten:
Karo Parisyan
John Alessio
Nick Diaz
Brian Gassaway
KenFlo
its safe to say that Hughes' last fights have been much more talented than Diego's, and Hughes has been putting guys like Diego away for years. Yes, Diego is 16-0, but Hughes has 40 wins.....I think Diego might be getting a little ahead of himself by thinking he has a chance with Hughes. Even if Diego were to get a title shot, it wouldnt be for quite some time. First up is GSP's long awaited fight, and then the winner of TUF and THEN he will fight. He'll probably have another fight, or maybe 2 before his shot at Hughes, so the next question is WHO?

I think gsp is next in line... after him, if hughes wins... then diego will most likely get a shot (almost certain.) The fights that i'm most looking forward to in the ufc is both or either gsp vs diego or matt hughes vs diego.

I dont think that Diego is quite ready for a title shot yet. He has shown his skills especially in the Karo fight when he exploded in the 3rd round but I would like to see him face someone like BJ penn before he gets a title shot.

I agree, Sanchez isnt ready yet and needs to beat someone of GSP, BJ Penn calibre befiore he can even think of a title shot. I think he would be in a lot of trouble with somebody like GSP - just as quick as Sanchez, good takedown offence.

I'm not a Matt Hughes fan and I know how bad a fight this is for Diego. Matt would slam Sanchez so hard that people watching the ppv would feel it. Give Diego a year or two and maybe that's a fair fight.
I actually think that Karo would fair better against Hughes right now, he'd get smashed, but at least he's not a straight wrestler, so he'll throw something at Matt that we can't predict. Sanchez would surprise anyone anytimes soon, he'll beat them, but he won't surprise them.

Anyone taking into account that GSP is going to wreck Hughes? So I think Diego would fight Hughes while GSP fights the TUF champion.
Hughes would walk all over Diego too.
