dana is shelling out a lot of cash on him, because he knows he can get a lot back with a draw such as lesnar. if your a well known name, your instantly get more money.

expect floyd mayweather to be making big bucks when he starts mma.

It may seem unfair but he is bringing alot of attention wit him. My girl's step-bro is comming over to watch it tonight just because he is on the card.

the casual fans I talk to about this fight are all talking about the Lesnar fight. Its a shame as we have a title fight on the card that has all the potential to be an absolute war.

If Lesnar wins tonight, have mercy on this site, there are gonna be all sorts of wrestling trolls.

That's about all it boils down to. They aren't paying for Brocks skills, they're paying for the market that they anticipate that this fight will attract. Win-win situation for UFC really. Brock wins, shows he's a legitimate fighter, Brock loses....he's supposed to lose based on the fact Mir is a former HW champ, and UFC gains some old WWE audience in the act.

To be fair though, he is the biggest name on the card. Most people know who he is, but how many people really know who Nog is? I saw that article to and it said that Mir brought home $66,000 for his last fight.

I understand he a huge draw but some of their biggest draws don't make that much $$. I know you won't like this first example but Tito only made $210,000 last time he fought and GSP only made $160,00 when he beat Matt Hughes for the 2nd time and Anderson Silva/Rich Franklin 2 combined was only $165,00 with Anderson making $120,00 and Rich making $45,000.

It all depends on his contract. If his contract says he makes X amount of money to show up, then no matter how bad he gets killed he still makes X amount.

on a business stand point its logical but on a fighting stand point its ridiculous nogueira should be making a lot more i already noticed this before when he first fought he got i think 500,000 not sure but saku only got around 50,000

If lesnar is getting this much, how much do you think they might have been offering fedor? I know he might not be known by casual ufc fans but amoung mma fans he is considered gold to have in your org.

I am thinking 500,000 a fight

Not only is the UFC going to make that money back on PPV buys alone for just this one event but if he wins, the money for the next event will be even bigger!

I don't know why money's an issue. Brock is clearly not doing this for the money. He already had the money and fame that every fledgling MMA fighter dreams of when he was with the WWE and **GAVE IT UP** for a chance to actually compete and not just perform. He's already sold out massive arenas and been in front of HUGE crowds, the kind Dana White goes to bed dreaming about drawing. And in only his second pro fight, he agreed to take on a former HW champion known for sick BJJ and breaking peoples' arms. Who else has the guts to do that?

Say what you want about what Brock does or doesn't "deserve" in terms of money and his place on the card but he deserves respect and is worth every penny he's getting, if not more.
