In order for GSP to win this one, he's going to have to take it and take it convincingly. I don't see a decision going his way unless he's working non-stop dominating Hughes 15 of the 25 minutes they'll be fighting each other. Admittedly he had a lot of butterflies going into their first match, and that kept his normally frantic pace reserved. Ever since then he's been on a non-stop tear through the ranks, and a confident fighter (no matter what the level) is a dangerous one.
Hughes is also running high going into this fight after his phenomenal performance against Royce. Again, it's not a fact that he had proven that the Sport of MMA has evolved much farther than the established legends of the sport, but his confidence level has got to be at an all-time high. Unlike the fight with BJ Penn he knows first hand what he is up against, and he knows all too well that he can lose this fight. He's going to have to bring his A-Game into this match, because this is bar-none the biggest threat to his championship reign.
This is a toss-up, and should be one of the greatest matches this year. If GSP wins, it will most likely be by Ref Stoppage/GnP probably in the 2nd or 3rd round. If Hughes wins, it will probably be by decision or Ref Stoppage/GnP in the 3rd or 4th round.
I will pay to see this one.
