1. When mirko had him mounted and Kongo tried to hold him, Rogan said Kongo was in deep trouble. But why couldnt Mirko get out of the hold and gnp Kongo?

2. What strike from Kongo broke Mirko's rib and when?

3. Why didNT Kongo get deducted a point from the repeated knee strikes to Mirko's balls?

4. If Mirko Does comes back in a year and they make this rematch how will it go?

Cheers.

1. Not sure.
2. It was in the first round, that's all I remember
3. Because you cant knee someone repeatedly in the groin.
4. I think Mirko will win their rematch, Mirko was very aggressive in the first round, stalking Kongo but then injured his rib and lost focus

5. Why would Mirko even deserve a rematch? The only guy he beat in the UFC was Eddie Sanchez.

DESERVE a rematch? This is Cheick fuckin' Kongo not Fedor. Do you really have to work you're way up to a match with Kongo? I feel if Mirko puts some wins together in DREAM he'll deserve his shot back at Kongo.

1. kongo apparently has an amazing chin. just before kongo postured up, mirko landed a devastating left hand right on the money...and kongo didn't even react to it. Mirko, while having a very solid ground game unlike what most people think, isn't a bjj blackbelt and isn't as experienced with control or submissions as other fighters are.

2.i think it may have been two shots. i think the flying knee to the body in round one started it...it's a direct shot right to the lower ribs and i think one of those solid body kicks snapped it.

3. kongo didn't get deducted a point when he should have been DQ'd. 5 direct shots to the groin (2 in round 2, 3 in round 3) and that isn't a point deduction...that's a DQ.

4.i think the rematch will go 3 rounds again, but all the rounds being like round 1....with mirko pushing forward and kongo retreating....

1. I believe Mirko had a difficult time controlling Kongo on the ground. Mirko is obviously not the ground specialist.

2. I'm not quite sure on that one, Sorry. However, I believe it was continuous damage done over time that eventually broke it.

3. Kongo didn't get deducted a point. Like Aaronyman said, I believe he should've been DQ'd let alone a point deduction. His knees to the groins definitely had some kind of effect to CroCop, I would say it would be impossible for knees like that NOT to have an effect.

4. It will be another slide for the CroCop HL Reel.

Also, Nobody needs to do anything to earn a shot at Kongo. If Herring is fighting Kongo, I really don't see how anybody has to do anything to "earn" a shot at Kongo.

Hey Mirko fanboys, leave your name when you hand out neg reps. I guess your a little scared to do so, kind of like your boy Mirko is of the UFC.

I thought the broken rib came from the devastating axe kick Mirko recieved while on his back. That looked nasty.

I really don't know why Mirko didn't take Kongo down and try and submit him. Yeah I know he's not a ground wizard, but Kongo looked pathetic in the fight he had before he fought Cro Cop. He actually had him in a triangle towards the end of the first round there. It didn't look very good, but it was a triangle none-the-less. At the very least, takedowns would have scored him points.

I hope Cro Cop shows us he's a little more dynamic when he's in Dream - maybe shoot in for a takedown and try and submit his opponent instead of relying on the LHK. She's got to showcase more skills. If he goes over there and shows he's legitimately trying to improve his game, I'll actually look forward to seeing him in the UFC again. Frankly, it's the only way I'll respect him again.

I feel like I am beating a dead horse here, but once again I have to bring the Mirko nuthuggers back to reality *sigh*

1. It was late in the round, and Kongo has the most underrated groundgame in MMA. Mirko, while having a better groundgame than Kongo is also not an amazing ground fighter.

2. It was an axe kick, after Kongo had taken Mirko down, he was standing while Mirko was on his back. He threw an axe kick that went over his legs and smacked him right in the ribs. It was 3:10 into the second round, or 1:50 to go in the second.

3. He wasn't deducted a point because it was only one incident. Everyone at home, and in the arena as well as Big John, only saw one clear strike and a messy follow-up. People who say he was struck five times are blatantly lying or are including instances where no-one saw the strike and they're just attributing it to a groin strike. We only saw one instance, so its only fair to say that is all that happened.

4. I think that if this were to happen in a year, Kongo would win it. Here is why: In one year, I have no doubts in my mind that Kongo will have improved his ground game at least three fold. Mirko, on the other hand, has never been a really adaptable fighter and him going to Japan to knock out some tomato cans does nothing to help him adapt to a changing sport. Kongo also has shown that he can stick to a gameplan, which was against Mirko to pressure him (Mirko doesn't like pressure), press him up against the cage and work the knees (since Kongo had the better Muay Thai. That being said, I wouldn't be suprised if in a year Mirko would come back and headkick Kongo into the bleachers. I won't underestimate him.
