Are you talking Pre-Zuffa? Because if you aren't, your have to be a little ore specific than what you initially asked. If you widen things out to the entirety of SEG's control of the UFC (until the end of 1999) then there are a lot more options than what you listed in the poll.

It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree... As long as I don't bore you and I spark a moment of thought, my goal is achieved.

Mark Coleman was amazing but he went downhill real fast and had the worst cardio. It all started by losing to a not so good Maurice Smith, he barely trained for that fight and took Maurice lightly. Then he gassed badly against Pete Williams, left his head open to be torn off. Then he finally lost to Rizzo and left. But his earlier matches such as against Don Frye at 10, Brian Johnston at 11, and beating the crap out of Dan Severn at UFC 12 were awesome. Plus hes technically UFCs first weight champion.

It's pretty close between Coleman and Royce. Coleman always put on a show, but I voted for Royce, because I think that the UFC really was built on Gracie Jiu-jitsu.
