i know couture was a slightly above avarge heavyweight at best he was far better as a light heavyweight he got dominated in so many fights as a heavyweight not sayin he was rubbish but shouldnt be on the list if you ask me cos he will be gettin unfair votes peeople will be votin for him cos he beat chuck and tito and was a very good LIGHT HEAVY WEIGHT and the fact that he is a ledgend bottem line is people will be voting for the name not weather he was a good heavyweight or not

coleman was a better heavyweight than him
shamrock was

he shouldnt be on there mate every other heavyweight you have on there was more succesfull in the heavyweight div then him

i know he was champion but so is syvia and he shoulddnt be there either you should of thought about the list more or well

Iceman, you basically cited my reason for me. Shamrock was never a UFC champion. Rutten was never a UFC champion. Tank definitely was never a UFC champion. Neither was Kimo or Severn. Couture is on there for his entire legacy and because he was a champion and a contender at heavyweight and lightheavyweight. That's my only reason for putting him on there, but if you think I'm wrong, then don't vote for him.

I voted for Bas, but that's because his performance in the octagon is like nothing I've ever seen anywhere.

Yea i dont know more than some people about MMA but i do know that Abbott should not even be on this list. I dont think he ever had a match go pst the first round. Most of the time it was him getting knocked out.

You could put of a fight that Dan Severn is possibly the greastest heavyweight ever. But i dont think that he had more that a few fights in the UFC. If this was A Greatest Weight ever thread my vote would be for Dan Severn

Dave "Tank" Abbott: 6'0" 250 lbs Record (9-11-0)
Tank had 5 wins by KO, 3 by submission and 1 by decision. He never had a fight go past 1 round, though he had two fights that were ended by descision. (loss to Dan Severn and win against Yoji Anjo) Tank has 1 win in his last 5 fights (a win against Cabbage at ROTR 7)

Dan "The Beast" Severn:6'2" 250 lbs Record (68-11-7)
Severn has 13 wins by KO and 39 due to submission (mostly strikes)

Those are just some of the numbers, judge the rest for yourself.

LOL! What UFC were you watching? I agree that Tank was no not even close to the best HW in UFC history, but he was never KO'd. Most of his fights were him knocking the shit out of someone. His losses came either by decision or sub. The only TKO I can think of was against Cabbage and that was a stoppage due to a cut.

Dominant in Pride? Do what? He had one victory in Pride against a B level fighter at best. He lost to Frye, Fujita and Sakuraba. I don't get it.

Has everyone lost their minds? Bas was UFC champ. He defeated Kevin Randleman by decision at UFC 20.

Sorry, you're right. That was why I voted for Bas. I would correct my mistake, but I'm lazy, so I'll just admit that I f%$@#* up.

Tank was stopped due to Strikes/TKO by Vitor Belfort when Vitor was in his initial "Phenom" stage in UFC 13. He was then knocked out cold by Pedro Rizzo 1 year and five months later in UFC Brazil.

Tank is entertaining to watch... Not too skilled, but entertaining none the less.

It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree... As long as I don't bore you and I spark a moment of thought, my goal is achieved.
