first i wanna say that there is no way Chuck is making middleweight, hes said it himself, he would have to cut off a leg to get down to middleweight..But back on the topic, Rich is one of my favorite fighters also, and Im real nervous about this fight. I have concerns about Rich's chin being tested early and often, Silva has very good striking skills and hes also a bjj black belt. So he is the total package. Im not sure if Rich plans on striking or taking Silva down, but if Im Rich Im taking Silva to the mat quick, I want no part of his striking!!

I can't remember it's been forever since I watched any of these fights.
1st fight with tanner was at LHW, second fight with Dewees wus LHW, then he moved down to middleweight to fight Rivera, then back up to LHW to fight Shamrock, then both him and Tanner moved down to middleweight and fought.

I think Silva has a great chance at beating Ace Ventura next week. Silva can match Franklin's striking and might be fast enough to avoid takedowns and submission attempts. It's been a while since a title has changed hands so I'm hoping for it to happen Saturday.

It's ovbious loisou was never a real contender my evidence being the Mike swick fight, it sucked. So maybe this gut SIlva can beat him. I kind of hope he does. If not they should bring in that guy that has beat both FRanklin and BOnnar, to fight franklin. I can't seem to remember his name...............
His name is Lyoto Ryoto Machida and he is undefeated. He destroyed Bonnar, Franklin, beat BJ penn by decision and also beat K-1 great Michael Mcdonald. Ufc will never bring him or quinton jackson in from WFA because they have both beat Dana Whites poster boys Rich and Chuck and he doesnt want to see them lose to them again. Chuck might take Quinton now but I cant see Franklin beating Machida, that guy is good check out his fights on Google Video everyone.

Franklin can't really handle aggressive strikers coming at him. Machida threw Rich off his gameplan, because he(Lyoto) was constantly pressing the action. If Silva comes at him like Machida did, then Ace will lose his title.

Rich likes to be the bully, and once the roles are switched, then he doesn't know how to react.

I think Rich is the dominant MW in mma right now but Anderson has a great chance to win and this is why. Rich has a suspect chin but he has great recovery time. He will get caught by anderson the question is going to be will anderson be able to finish him before he recovers. In just about all of Rich's fights he gets rocked at least once. His complete game is what allows him to weather that storm and get back on track. Part of his game plan is to weather the storm when it comes and win in dominating fashion. I think he has improved his all around game we just havn't seen it because for the most part he has fought primarily one dimensional fighters. Silva anderson is also primarily a one dimensional fighter. His stand-up is second to none but he hasn't been on the ground a lot. I see Rich getting caught, silva getting over anxious and Rich catching him in a sub sometime in the third round.

First off Quarry wasnt Tuf winner, he left due to injury. While A Silvas UFC resume is small his MMA resume is not. He is by far the biggest threat to Richs title out of anyone in the MW division. So Im totally for him getting a shot. Dont give me this crap about the UFC screwing Tanner. It doesnt matter if Rich didnt earn his shot at MW or not he kicked the champs ass and thats what matters.
