Silva has done more outside of the UFC and has defeated some very competitive fighters...he deserves the shot whether these TUF fans like it or not.
That, and he's the only thread to Franklin in the MW division, and that's no exaggeration.

He will never bring them in because of the poster boys huh? Did Dana tell you that, or is that just your opinion? Could it be that there are contracts involved? Maybe these guys would not even want to be in the UFC.

This is a bit off topic, but since were discussing the fighters, i'd figure i'd mention it if some of you arent aware.
Evan Tanner is having personal problems once again and will be out of fighting for a while. Some BS stirred up after his fight with Leven's.
Nate Quarry is said not to fight anymore due to a spinal condition. He didn't blame it for his loss to Rich, but it is upsetting to see he can't fight anymore. He had so much potential.

Well yes it is my opinion, these guys are top fighters and neither have ever been offered to fight in UFC. I cant see why they wouldnt want to fight there its growing to be the biggest mma organization in the world right now. They both are finally fighting in the US right now for the WFA which they actually get paid well. Its a small organization but they are starting to sign some big names. It will never be the UFC though.

Machida has said he'd like to fight Liddell in the UFC. He also said that neither UFC or Pride offered him any deals.
Machida would be a welcome addition to the UFC.

Definetly. One of my favorite fighters, his last fight was the best though.

I think BJ is fantastic. Unbelievable. Did you guys know that Ryoto is 6'2" ~205 lbs or more and BJ is only 5'8" maybe 165lb?
He still only lost to him by decision. That's pretty awesome. I am sorry for hijacking this thread but I had to give him the props.. Dang..

Why do you think that Dana thinks that he is feeding people to Rich? Rich is one of my favorites but not the "average" fan favorite. I think that Dana is desperately trying to get fighters in the UFC that fight more like Bonnar, Griffin, Wanderlei, etc. It's obvious that to sell huge PPV's the fights are going to have to be stand up wars. You and I may like the BJJ, the wrestling, the clinch, but the "average" fan wants to see 2 men hitting each other in the grill, blood spurting everywhere, and eventually one guy getting knocked out. Rich is so technically sound that he can be boring but this fight against Silva should force him to be more aggressive.
