I think Penn would be happy to stand with Sherk. Will Sherk try a GSP vs Serr/Kos and immediately go for the takedown? It will be a battle but I think Sherk could pull it out by trying to neutrilze Penn until rounds 4-5.

yeah that's really the story of the fight....
bj has more tools to win for sure....but sherk's pathway just might be easier to follow....this fight is so even that sherk basically just has to push bj for 10 minutes....stay out of danger...than go start pushing for points in rounds 3, 4 and 5....
can he do that? i think he can by standing and banging for a while....sherk has great boxing defense and throws some good punches himself. he also could in the clinch....force bj to defend a takedown for 6 minutes and he's finished...clinching is probably the most tiring of allt he positions cuz muscles all over you body are constantly contracting and pushing against your opponent...he COULD if he ends up on top...but that's pretty dangerous, even w/ his sub defense...and if penn gets on top of sherk w/ like 2 minutes + in the round....he better find a way to get his ass up
you know, i'll be a sherk fan after this fight unless a certain outcome happens:
sherk is down 3 rounds...goes into the 4th w/ plenty of gas and bj is tired...and he eeks out 2 rounds to lose a 48-47 decision with very little aggression to finish the fight when in a dominant position....that will piss me off....i really hate when a fighter KNOWS they have to finish, and doesn't give a shit....i don't care if a posturing in the mount can lead to a reversal...go for broke damnit....
