I see Bj winning the first 2-3 rounds then gassing and having Sherk dominate the rest and bring out a split decision win. I don't see Penn gassing enough for Sherk to finish though.

I think this fight is so close it's crazy. Now I don't think it's 1 vs 2 because JZ Calvancanti is IMO basically Sherk and BJ combined.
I think BJ will win a SD And I think the 3rd will be a swing round. I think BJ will keep it on their feet and outsrike Sherk in a close fight for the first 2 rounds. I think in the last two rounds Sherk will take him down and control him.
But I can't decided what I think will happen in round 3. Maybe BJ can keep from gassing and win the round either on top or on their feet. Or maybe Sherk starts taking him down and controlling him.
I orginally had this fight as a 2nd round submission win for BJ and I could see that happening if BJ's wrestling is as good as it has been at times in his career. But who knows with BJ.

Let's just say BJ comes in with good conditioning. At least good enough for two hard rounds and then 3 average paced rounds where he isnt very tired. It seems like everyone is counting on him gassing for Sherk to win, but if he comes in shape do you still think it will be a close fight?

I think Sherks saving factor may be the fact its a 5 round fight. If it were 3 round i see BJ Prenn winning, but Sherks stamina is one of the best, and i see BJ winning the first 2, but after that the difference in stamina taking its toll and Sherk doing a bit of ground and pound for the last 3.
Sherk by decision im afraid.

It doesnt matter if they hit a cop and ran or tested positive for whatever as long as they come and fight..
I think it will very close as everyone else thinks. I want Bj to win but i dont know if he really is 100% focused. But i still think Bj will be him in by tko or sub probably late 2nd round or early 4th round . This of course if BJ doesn't use all his energy in 1st round . If he fights like he did in the 2nd vs Joe he might win.

I don't see why everybody is so concerned with BJ's conditioning...BJ's conditioning this, BJ's conditioning that.
BJ Penn is a different fighter, he keeps his weight down, eats right, trains everyday, put all of that together, and you have the new BJ Penn...not the old chubby 170 BJ.
Also, IMO, BJ doesn't need to last all 5 rounds with Sherk, in fact, i don't see it going passed the 3rd. Sherks gonna get KO'ed or submitted...before BJ's cardio has to go into overdrive.
Penns gonna win no matter what, its gonna be one hell of a fight.

I see this going the same way as the Stevenson fight... heavy hands will keep Sherk at bay when they trade.
Bj will setup the takedown with shots... putting Sherk on his back, where Sherk is at his weakest.
Afterwhich BJ will wait for Sherk to make a mistake, by placing a body lock on him that he cant shake off.
Although Sherk might be able to weather the initial storm, I think BJ will put him out of his comfort zone like GSP did... but finish with a submission instead of a TKO.

Comparing Bj Penn to Serra is ridiculous. We all saw Penn vs. GSP, and many have argued (and not without merit) that he could have/should have won the decision.
Shall we start taking Sig bets now? PM me Norton! I got Penn all the way.
You can put as your sig
Sherks Resting Heart Rate is zero because the Prodigy kicked his a**!
