Man dude I would love to see Faber/Thomas even though I'd probably go with Faber!!!!! You also have a rematch with Pulver if he beats Faber, Din is going to be a force at 145
What a great addition to the WEC. Faber/Thomas would be a good show and a good test for Faber. Good to see the WEC bringing in the talent. I might not be his biggest fan but Din is a good fighter.
Wow, how has this thread not gotten more love? Din at 145 is great, it makes perfect sense. He could be a force...but I still would take Faber over him. Din has trouble when his opponent is a relentless aggressor, which practically describes Faber's style.
Great addition for the WEC. I can see Din getting a title shot within a few fights. I don't hink he could beat Faber . . . but I could see him getting a shot.
He has a monster reach. Like 75" or maybe even 76". Thats unheard of for a 145er. Shit thats even unheard of for a 155er. Thats gonna be nuts. He used to fight at 170.
This is great for the WEC and gives them even more credibility (it also gives credibility to the rumors that UFC will be moving it's lighter fighters to the WEC and the heavier weight classes to the UFC... even though I still attest that this makes no sense).
I think Din had a shot against Florian, Franca, Fisher, etc. in the UFC, but the WEC he might be a bigger factor as a title contender (especially at 145).
This move is equally good for both the WEC and Thomas. I also agree that its a bad matchup for him against Faber if he gets that title shot because of Faber's aggressive style.
I actually really want to see Thomas vs. Pulver, I think that'd be a war standing up. I'm not sure how strong Thomas will be at 145, and I'd really have to sout that a little before I start comparing him to Faber (because if Faber would physically just bulldog him, then that's not a matchup I'd care to see), but his technical skills and experience are certainly more impressive than Fabers.
He hits hard and he's got good subs, so I think that he has a shot at Faber almost as much as Jens does (though, in fairness, Jens also has a wrestling background and Miletich behind him), and I think that all three of these guys are making this division interesting. The more I watch, the more I like the WEC.

I'm sure you probably already know this but Thomas already beat Pulver by heel hook in 2000, so I would really want to see a rematch to between the two.
Thomas as awesome! BJJ Black belt, American Top Team. Can't F with Din.
