If only Rogan was there to interveiw Starnes post fight he could have used his famous line:
"Well Kalib you lost the fight and clearly FEAR IS A FACTOR FOR YOU"
What shocked me the most was not that he fell back the entire fight.
What shocked me was that he continued to fall back the entire third when he was clearly down both rounds.
If you're down 2 rounds to none, don't you start to realize it's time to take a chance and go for broke? At that point you don't have anything to lose.
I'm not a fighter. Do I just not "get it"?
Lol you get it perfectly, Starnes is the one who doesn't "get it"

Starnes talks about how he asked to be released and how he had lumps on his head, a black eye, can't chew from the left side of his mouth and did not want to get physical head injuries. LOL why step into the cage with that mentality. So glad he's gone from the UFC.
theres a difference between being cautious and still running away in the third round when youve obviously lost on points allready
What is that difference with all that training you do at your local gym and all those pro fights you had! STFU and show him some respect. If he felt he couldnt win, why the hell would someone put there head in front of someones punch to just please the fans. He already had it in his head he wouldnt win. So sabotage yourself and walk into a over hand cross

If you're in a pro fight and know you cannot win and give up by running away, just throw the towel and quit! Don't run away like a pu**y!
He's in the April 25th show. He basically says, what would you do if you were fighting a strong guy like Quarry? You'd be running too. Yeah I would, but then again I'm not fighting for a living Kalib. He wanted to preserve his health, well done. He lost his job and no major promoter is likely ever to touch him with a 10ft pole, but hey, he as his health and that makes it all worth it!

That's funny I thought he had a broken foot? With all the BS this guy is slinging, maybe he asked to be released from his contract to heed his true calling...Politics
Oh poor muffin! Starnes was gonna get beat up by the big bad man.... please.
The excuse that anyone would be running from Quarry as well is weak. Starnes' job was to get in there and put on a show, and make an effort. If he was afraid to get hit in the first place he should never have agreed to the fight, let alone continue on with this profession. He makes a sad attempt to have it sound like Nate Quarry was coming after him in a dark alley, rather than octagon... you know, with the ref, and the nearby doctors and security...
The best thing he could do is just fess up, admit he screwed it all up, quit making excuses and quietly fade away. Bad excuses and constantly talking about it merely keep it fresh in everyone's mind.
