What Fighter Had The Toughest Road To The Title?

One of the other thread got on the subject of how Liddell's road to the title was tougher then Silva's. Who do you think had the toughest path to take.

My choice will be GSP if he pulls off the win against Hughes. He would have gone through Penn, Hughes (twice), Trigg, and Parisyan. Now that's a tough road.

How about brandon lee hinkle? he sucks, so if he ever gets a title hes going to have the hardest road.

I would say recently it is Jeff Monson. Even though he hasn't beat any fantastic opponents, he had to beat 16 people in a row before he got considered for the title?? That's unheard of. Also GSP has had quite a tough road, and with the recent groin injury makes it worse cuz he finally got his title shot, then he gets hurt and has to wait even longer.

I'd say Liddell handsdown.

Kevin Randleman, Morilo(SP) Bustamante, Vitor Belfort, Renato "Babalu" Sobral, having to wait several months because of Tito *****ing out, losing to Coutore, beating Tito Ortiz, Vernon White and finally Randy Coutore.

Thats some of the best of the best right there that he has had to beat.

Plus keeping the title has been on easy road either with the likes of Coutore, Jeromy horn and Sobral.
