Penn should look too far ahead and think about fights against those three. He should focus on Sherk first, he might suffer the same fate as Jardine when he fought Houston Alexander. If he doesn't give Sherk the respect he deserves it will be a costly mistake for BJ.

In all seriousness, though, BJ with cardio destroys Hughes. GSP and Silva.....hmm dunno bout those two!

i think bj has a solid chance against sherk and hughes....gsp not so much...and i don't even know how he could fight anderson silva.....when he himself said his in shape weight is 160...he would never make the divisional requirements weight-wise......but dream on penn fans...dream on

btw: wtf does the math man mean?

I hope Sherk puts him in his place and pounds him out.

BJ Penn fans are hilarious. "Oh, BJ's just speaking his mind, so what that he's focused on other stuff besides Sean Sherk?"

Im a penn fan and I would love to see all those fights but you are right. He needs to focus on Sherk. It is getting ridiculous how much he is overlooking him. He is talking about high profile fights with two other champions and Matt Hughes and has said things like "I have just enough cardio to put you away". He should have just enough cardio to go balls to the wall for at least 25 minutes and this fight is really starting to worry me.

You shouldnt confuse a comment with focus, they are 2 very different things.

BJ is over looking Sherk. Sherk has tons of cardio, he will BJ out the first two rounds, then beat him up for the rest.

Actually any real fan will tell you that if your fighter gets injured in the the fight and ends up with a loss because of that then tuff shit he was beat by the other man. Hughes won that fight.

Yes, yes it has in some of his past fights and that makes it a valid point to bring up in future fights, its more a mental shortcoming IMO with BJ, He seems like he needs to create the drive to compete by convincing himself to hate someone and to me that makes him look like he could be a lazy person IDK I do know that BJ's skills are good but far from flawless and he can be beat.

Just like Sean Sherk resorting to steroids to achieve.

B.J. knows his issues better than any of us do. He also knows that Sherk is a conditioned fighter. I'll say this............

B.J. will have a problem with A. Sivia
the rest, with his focus now, I see him being a threat.
WOW your really willing to go out on a limb there aren't you?

I actually am not convinced he'll beat Sherk TBH but lets just say he dose. I still think Hughes beats him and Hughes is the only fighter in that list he has a plausible chance against GSP or Silva would dominate him.
