I'm not a fan of either of them.
But I actually feel bad for Sherk and how much he's been ragged on, and I really don't care for BJ at all, something about him just rubs me the wrong way.
So I'll be rooting for Sherk, by UD.

I think BJ gets the toughness card. Especially since he went out against Hughes in the third with separated ribs and took punch after punch to the face knowing he could do nothing and never tapped. Yet Sherk tapped due to strikes by GSP with no known injury either.
TOUGHNESS goes to BJ.

i'd disagree....if bj would have gotten smashed by that knee against franca...i highly doubt he would have recovered like sherk did....
i give sherk the advantage in: wrestling (slightly), heart, cardio, toughness, and intelligence

BJ wouldn't have gotten smashed by that knee because BJ rarely shoots. And if he did he would have set it up a little better.
Sherk just dove in for the TD, no set up at all, that's why he got hit by the knee. Also BJ has never been "finished" so we really wouldn't know if he'd have gone out or not. BJ can take a shot.
"finished"- I mean knocked out or tapped. Hughes was the only person to technically finish him.

unless bj trains like a beast, the scale is tipped in sherk's favor, imo.

I think almost everyone really thinks Sherk will win because he is so strong and likes to hold dudes down, but, many want BJ to win because its fricken' BJ Penn
If Sherk wins I hope he doesn't bore us with another 5-round decision, the thought of watching a long dragging-ass fight makes me cringe.

But, there's also those that want BJ to lose because his fans are incredibly irrational...

on paper this is a relatively even fight. in reality who knows, its so fricken close to 50/50 its not funny. I think an element of luck may decide the winner.....
i wouldnt be surprised if sherk won, but id bet on BJ for the skill advantage.
