With the exception of his poopy pants, Im still up for making fun of him for that any time.
lol tim will never hear the end of the shitted pants comments. It would be funny if tim himslef acctually read the thread were it talks about how he shitted his pants against assuereo silva.

In fact, some (most?) would say Anderson has a better chance over Rich than the Tim/Jeff fight.

We could have 4 new champs by Nov. 18th.
(But I really don't think Hughes is going anywhere ... He's good for a couple more belt defends)
i thought i was gonna be the quick one to point that out haha u beat me to iot

To be fair to Sylvia, the Nevadda State Athletic Commission tests all of the fighters after a title fight so he probably wasn't on roids when he won the belt from Rodriguez.

Yea I only heard he took them for his fight against Gan McGee, but I find it hard to believe that was the only time he took them.

As for the Monson/Sylvia fight, I think Monson has a pretty decent chance. This will definately be a good test for Monson to see if he is all that he is cracked up to be. Abu Dabi HW Champion is pretty impressive.

The Sylvia/Monson title fight is not getting much respect as a Main Event and I think that is fine. Both of the fighters deserve every fan's respect because they are fighters. When I hear people say that these two fighters are not getting the respect they deserve I think people mean they are not getting the popularity and hype they deserve. And they do not deserve popularity or hype at this point but they deserve a chance from the fans to earn it.
Part of it is out of their control, the quality of the HW class in UFC is awful (really going out on limb there, right?) and must improve if it wants to elbow its way into the spotlight with the LHW, MW, and WW divisions. The other thing that has to happen is that these two need to establish a personality for themselves. Brandon Vera is doing it by dominating opponents in short action packed (one sided so far) fights and being a likable guy in his interviews. I think the fans have been begging for Frank Mir to give them a reason to like him but he keeps showing up to the octagon pudgy and his comeback fights have been awful. If Sylvia (can't really see Monson caring) wants the hype and popularity it is up to him, not us. I already like him a little more after hearing about the pants shitting (the first fighter to visibly shit his pants in the octagon will never be forgotten and should immediately get a title shot at the next PPV), thats funny, and fans like funny. When all you have given the fans as the champion is one dissappointing title defense on a now infamous PPV and a pant shitting story(that the casual fan probably doesnt even know about) don't whine that you aren't on TV commercials running through the desert with a cold Xyience
and eating sushi with the Ulitmate Fighter guys.

All that being said, I wish the best for these two and hope they put on a fight that will start the ball rolling in the right direction for their careers and the HW class.

We all were young, we all crapped our diapers. Tim Sylvia is reinforcing the fact that we all once made poopy in our pants. Tim's a man of the people. A common, caring man who goes with the flow.

I hate to say it but no belts will change hands any time soon, you know why ? Thier is no talant in the ufc any more. how does Chuck hold the belt for so long (no compition) Chuck's last fight looked like a 6th grader beating up a 2nd grader is the school play ground.

Well ler me Ed u cate you sir. Are you not familar with a guy named George "Rush" St. Piere? He's about as talented as they come and is highly capable of taking Matt Hughes' belt.

Tim Sylvia isnt very talented himself and him and Jeff Monson will just be too guys with not alot of talent fighting so it could go either way.

Anderson Silva is a killer and I can see him knocking out Rich Franklin and taking the belt. I'll take Rich in this one though.

I don't know what to think of the Franklin Silva fight. I could see it going either way but damn that silva could catch him
