Really, when it comes down to it, who cares where fighters get their "strength" from? It's obvious that most of it comes from their training, diet, etc...but if you ever step into an MMA fight, you'll find out that you always need that extra little push.
I have two things I always keep in mind in all aspects of life. Those being Self-Control and Energy. I used to have some problems with drugs, although not as major as some cases, but it was getting to the point that it was taking its toll on my llife, and it was time to stop. Keeping Self-Control and Energy in mind has always helped me pull through things, whether it's a difficult situation in life, or in a fight.
Give it a rest.
