Poll: Should Rich Franklin of had a warm fight before last nights title defense?
I just watched the Franklin Silva fight, and to me Rich looked like he had some ring rust. Do you think he shouldve had a warm up fight before last nights title defense after the lengthy layoff he had? Im not taking anything away from Silva. I had my money on him in the first place, but I didnt think Franklin would be dominated like this though.

Warmup fights are not what the UFC should be about...that's my opinion. He's a fighter, not a baby. With being the champ comes the responsibility of needing to beat anyone they put in front of you. Warmup fights are for pussies, and Rich is not a *****.

They should of had him fight the winner of TUF (since they have been hyping that on the show) before they through him in their with Silva.

the very notion of "warm up" fights would destroy the entire concept of this sport. if some fights meant less than others, then what would be the value of them in the first place???

Like I said before in another thread, Rich was the champion and he had to be prepared to fight anybody wheter he was coming off an injury or not! That's what makes them a champion!
