What a joke

I just think it was a joke to put Franklin in there after the injuries and lay off he had.No kidding silva is an awsome fighter. After those types if injuries you need time to get confidence( in hand) and ring rust.I think it is a joke Dana White would put Rich in such a fight without at least one match before hand.I lost a lot of respect for the UFC after this fight.I guess the pay per view is more important than the fighter.I don t think Silva saw the real Franklin. Can Rich beat Silva?I don t know but I do know it would have been a better fight if he had a match to test out hand and get rid of ring rust.

I would have agreed with another match before Silva. But I dont particularly disagree with giving him Silva right away either. Being the champ means your the best there is and if he cant beat Silva right now he doesnt deserve the belt plain and simple. If hes better down the road hes just gonna havta earn it back and show hes a true champion.

It is because Dana is a jacka$$. He thinks his fighters are the best in the world. He is like a head football coach. Too stubborn and proud to admit when he is outmatched. He'll only say it will be tough. He thought Franklin would walk right through Silva. If he didn't then I assure you that wouldn't have been the fight he made. Sylvia, Hughes, Liddell, and Franklin are his boys and he will do everything he can to ensure that they win their fights.

I think the UFC would be better off without Dana. His business skills are great but his involvement with the match-ups is getting old. He needs to take a back seat every once and awhile. Stop being a fan and start being a businessman.

I don t have a problem with SIlva getting a title shot.He obviously is the best fighter right now and he deserved a title shot. What pissed me off is Franklin didnt get a chance to test the hand. Its been what 6-7 months since he fought last.Franklin was a awesome champ and represented the UFC with class.I m just saying he wasn t showed the repect he deserves.

Rich Franklin was a champion and needed to be prepared to fight the best even if he is coming back from an injury! Liddell came back from a broken toe and killed Babalu! Rich faced a better fighter and that's the way it is!

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

what are you taking about? he had a black eye when he started the fight. what do you think he has been doing? and his hand didnt make much of a difference. he got spanked end of story. dana will give him a reamtch and he will get spnaked again unless they pay silva to take a fall so they can have a rubber match. and rich will either have to face the music and move up to 205 where he belongs or beat it.

I saw Silva counter the first left hand Franklin tried to throw with a short left of his own. Then Franklin hesitated every time he went to throw it afterward as Silva feinted a short left to counter Rich's noticealby wider punch.

This is a flaw Franklin noted in an interview waaaaay before this fight.

I don't see why it's so hard for ppl to accept the loss. Plain and simple Silva won that fight, no ****ery involved. They will fight again for sure, maybe then Franklin will kill Silva (not likely) but only time will tell.
