This has to be the most ignorant peice of crap I've ever read.

First: Franklin is a UFC personality, he's one of Dana's favorite fighters in all of MMA. Dana has spent years trying to legitimize him as a really talented fighter. That was the whole point of the fight with Loiseay, to prove that Franklin really deserved that belt. Dana has put so much money into building up Rich Franklin that it would be moronic to intentionally take away his title.

Second: You must have missed the part where Tito's wrestling isn't good enough to take down Chuck. If Couture couldn't do it, and we saw the way Couture controlled Tito's ground game, then how do you expect Tito to take down Chuck? It won't happen unless Tito manages to get Chuck tired and then it will take at least 3 rounds (I see Tito getting KO'd way before then).

Finally: What is this load of crap about not enough titles changing hands in the UFC? It's good for business to have really consistent champions. While it's also good to have great competition for those champions, the champions are the people that are remembered (this is why the PRIDE Heavyweight division is so successful).

If you don't think that there are enough titles changing hands in the UFC then you should wait for Bad Intentions, because both of those fights could change the title holders.

As for Anderson, I don't see him getting beaten for a while.

Tanner vs Silva would be good, you know Tanner can take a beating and possibly still come out on top. He likes to clinch and has good ground game. If Anderson puts him away as easily as Franklin then the MW div is really screwed.

I say Swick vs Tanner for #1 contendership.

Also Silva was a former Vale Tudo NHB fighter, hence the complete domination not a fixed fight

I exactly agree with this.
too soon for swick to get a title shot, also tanner lost to franklin and now franklin lost title, so tanner can come to contender list again, but he have to solve his personal problems too...i check his myspace everyday to see if there is any news of his UFC fights...

maybe few people agree but i see many abilities in evan tanner that he can beat silva but plz dont tell me shit that tanner lost to franklin and franklin lost to silva and other shit like this...

and really i have to confess i did not think silva can be this much strong.

I have to admit the same thing to. But in truth, I already know that the ability to throw a strike forcefully has more to do with applied physics through good technique and athleticism. Muscles do not equal knock out or fight stopping power. As a bean pole, Anderson Silva is a prime example of this. Other good examples can be seen in Duane Ludwig and Thomas "Hitman" Hearns. These weren't the biggest dudes around, but they had a lots of pop in their hands.

Yes indeedy! Glad to hear someone say that for once! It's all in the wrist and shoulders and hips and feet and mind...pretty much everything but the huge muscles. It's kinda like Judo in a way, in that Judo teaches you how to use leverage to throw opponents around like ragdolls, but you don't need to be really strong to do it, it's all in the applied physics of leverage. Kid Yamamoto and Mike Zambidis are also prime examples of pop punchers. Oh and PacMan too.
