Man that is no way to look at this ... if the fighters don't get the money ... who does get the millions in revenue? Rich fat cat executives at Zuffa, etc, faceless multi-millionaires ... UFC has a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go before catching up to other sports if that is what they are paying there athletes ... I keep hearing that MMA is going to replace boxing as the fighting sport of choice but before that happens, there has to be bigger pay days ... people like Sugar Shane Mosley make millions per fights ... like I said, Tyson was making $20 mill in his prime per fight ... compare that to our top stars ... Jeff Monson, just this year was making $6000 a fight - WHAT A F***ING JOKE

Anyone notice how Anderson Silva made more to fight Leben at an UFN then Franklin made to fight Loaiseau at a PPV. Who had the better agent?

No kidding, and Franklin is a Marquee name!!! If they want these guys to train full time (and I know Franklin does but many others do not) they have to step up for the good of the sport

Good point, a lot of people ***** about Pride having better talent, if UFC ever boosts the pay, then more fighters can afford to LIVE as fighters.. and train more, and be better

Ye they were also charging 49.95 for PPV way back when when Tyson would fight. His top events (Tyson v Lewis) would gross in more than $100 mil. Dont forget that a lot of revenue gets spread out to an army of people other than fighters. Venue, promoters, referees, announcers, UFC employees...dont forget the Octogon girls...and many many others.

L'Oiseau apparently was paid $8000 for running for 5 rounds

Apparently nobody realizes their are other costs involved and the fighters should not be taking home the majority of the money. Does anyone know how much it costs for the UFC to use the arena they hold their fights? Anyone know all the other costs involved? Or does everyone just jump on the awww the poor fighters don't get what they deserve. If the money was a problem for the fighters does everyone really think they would stick around? They are making good money. When they are getting short changed, you will not see UFC holding fights because the fighters will leave.

matt1970 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
rockbass your right i told these guys earlier.marketing and operations costs will eat up a huge majority of revenues.fighters have to earn their right for the big payday.if u pay them all to well nobody will fight.make them ****ing earn it for the fans.and everyone will be happy
