Bad Matchups Make Boring Fights

Boring fights happen when a wrestler fights a striker and vice versa Ex. UFC 64, Marreo vs Kongo, man that was a boring fight! I actually dozed off in the second round. Elbow strikes that cause referee stoppage is a good thing. Not because I'm a goon who likes to see people get their asses kicked but because it shows that the system works; UFC=As Real As It Gets

Kongo vs Marrero was painful to watch. Kongo displayed zero takedown defense, and seemed to just go with the flow. "Hey, you taking me down? Sweeeeet!". Marrero makes Rashad Evans look like Fedor.

It was obvious that I was refering to let fights go on longer and knees to a downed opponent and head stomps.

I'd rather see a fight get stopped because of a cut than a fight get stopped because somebody had their head stomped on.

Doesn't anyone remember the Kevin Rosier fight from UFC 1 where he stamped on Zane Frazier's head like it was on fire and he was trying to put it out?

That image still makes me sick to my stomach. The sport has come a long way since then. Reverting back to that would be a travesty.
