that sounds a bit dangerous. Gotta play it safe and just keep matt at bay for 5 full rounds. That's hard as hell even for someone as talented as gsp. Fight of the year coming |

GSP will beat Hughes handily. Hughes will try to stand for a while until he realizes he is outmatched. If he hasn;t lost yet he will try to take it to the mat and fail. Then, St. Pierre will TKO him by a knee to the fadce and follow up with strikes. Big John steps in and Matt's twin, Sylvia, Rich, Pat, Spencer, Jeremy and God himself all cry because he lost.  |

i dont want matt "huge-ego" to win
i know GSP can do it, even matt thinks he is the one that can beat him, but matt will fight hard and im sure it will be a war. |

I've seen all the TUF episodes and didn't find him to be a cocky as most of you. The cocky one is that loud-mouth Matt Serra. Why is he spouting off on people, he's not on the same level as Hughes, BJ-Penn, OR GSP.

Say what you will about the lack of talent in HW or MW.. but c'mon -Who in Pride would CRUSH him? No one. It might be a good fight, but it won't be a beating like Franklin took.
He's a winner in my book.

im actually pulling for hughes on this one. also in reality he is not as cocky as most of you think he is. He is actualy very humble, sometimes he just acts like a jackass in front of the cameras

I never have understood why some have said Hughes is cocky. Never has seemed that way to me. He seems proud, and you can't blame him. He has a nice firm record in mma. But never cocky

I don't think GSP meant to be cocky in that statement to Hughes. He seems very humble and nice. It was probably just his honest opinion

Anyone who disagrees with the last sentence is insane. Hughes IS the number 1 170lber in the world. I prefer BJ and GSP as fighters, but I'm not trying to take anything away from Matt hughs. It hink Matt is one cocky SOB, and I think he's allowed to be.
Aslo about GSP's comment. I took it a completely different way. I thought he was praising Matt hughes...that is "i'm dissappointed you gave such a bad performance when I KNOW you're such an amazing fighter" |
