GSP vs. Matt Hughes take 2

Okay, hopefully we got UFC 64 out of are systems and are looking towards UFC 65: Bad Intentions. GSP was being humble towards Matt Hughes up until UFC 63! After Matt Hughes acted like a moron and then called out Georges, GSP came to a decision! He told himself not to give Matt Hughes too much respect! Anyone here thought GSP saying "I was not impressed by your performance" was his way of saying kiss my a$$ country boy? This thing is getting heated now. Does all of this mean St. Pierre will finally get the welterweight title? I would like to think so but the realist in me is telling me no. I think Matt will pull off another win! I hope I am wrong on this but that is just how I feel! So for the 1000th time, who do you think will win in GSP vs. Matt Hughes!

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

If GSP comes to fight confident like he did against Trigg and Sherk I think he'll win. But if he comes into the fight like he did against BJ then I think Matt will win. I think with GSP it's all about his confidence level. When he comes into the ring all relaxed and smiling he seems to beat guys down, but when he comes in looking worried and serious he doesn't fight as well. We all know he's got the skill. We all know what Matt can do and he's never short on confidence. We'll have to wait and see. I think this fight might be better then Matt vs BJ 2.

I been reading these forums for a long time now and finally decided to register hehe. Georges is my #1 favorite fighter and the reason why I am picking him over hughes this time is not because i want him to win or that he is my favorite it's because he will be much better this time around and prepared. Here is why.

When BJ beat hughes and took the belt, ever since then, hughes become 10x more stronger and better at MMA. He even stated this before, that the lost against PJ helped him in a way , made him a better fighter because of it.

Well in my opinion the same thing happened with Goerges. He took his first lost against one of his idols and since then he has became 10x more stronger too! He knows who he is stepping in the octagon with this time ......not just some guy he looked up to but a enemy, a guy he knows he can beat and has "His" belt.

Of course this is no fact just my opinion but when you watch the interviews about him and pierre, Hughes he talks and treats Georges like your typical ufc fighter that he beat before and nothing more. That will be hughes weak spot when he realizes how much stronger George has became in 2 years since there last fight.

I think it will be a good match , can go both ways really but I see Hughes under estimating Georges in a huge way going into this fight. He waited 2 years for this fight , and also knows that if he does not win , he is looking at another 2 years, maybe less to get that shot again. 2 years is a very long time to wait, Georges stated that before and he does not want to go through that wait again!

By the way, hello everyone .

GSP is going to win in my opinion. He has the tools, he has the mindset, and he has the hunger. Hughes has let this title go to his head and all the fan hype has him thinking he IS a god. That will all come crashing down at UFC 65. I would have to say that I'm more excited about this fight than any other fight since couture v. liddell 2. Its about time st. pierre gets his shot. Bye Bye Matty with you and your stupid country music.

Logic tells me GSP is going to win, because he is clearly the more talented fighter with much more tools. But somethin tells me Matts gonna pull of another victory. I sure hope GSP takes it tho.

GSP for the win. I'll prolly put 1,000 on the fight. I love when it he told Hughes he wasn't impressed with his performance. Here's a cool vid I found, sorry if any of you have seen it already. Although it's worth a bunch of views if you ask me

YouTube - GSP asking for title shot

I loved that too, because I'm sure a lot of people were thinking it but would never just say that to Matt Hughes, GSP has my respect.
