Tim Sylvia vs. Jeff Monson

Tim Sylvia must be pretty angry knowing he is not the main event! He be an idiot thinking his match would be more important then Hughes vs. GSP. Also, judging from his last performance he pretty much showed why he doesn't deserve the main event spot! But anyways, Jeff Monson is a submission master and could possibly submit Tim Sylvia if he can get past the reach advantage! It has happen before! Tim needs to keep in mind that Monson wants this to go on the ground. He practically played into Frank Mir's hands back at UFC 49 when Tim shot for a takedown and ended up in an armbar. Also, if this is going to be a good fight, Tim should not be so cautious! Assurio Sylvia and AA 3 were very boring because he was way too cautious! With all of this in mind, who will win Tim Sylvia vs. Jeff Monson!

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

...tim starts swinging down at monson, monson keeps his distance, untill tim gets too greedy with his advancement and makes a mistake... monson tumbles tim down to the ground with a double leg td, drops some punches down from the top... tim shows his back...
---rear naked choke--

...yup somthing like that

go monson

I agree monson is the better fighter here th only reason silvia has the belt is cos of the lack of competiton in the divition but it seems more and more better fighters are comin in now so he wont be a issue anymore tim will try to knock monson out fact monson will try to take it to the ground fact however monson has more ways to finnish this fight than silvia does. Submission . Ground and pound ko . He could even knock silvia out he may need a ladder first but he could silvia is not a good fighter he is just a big guy that hits hard thats it monson will wins this fight no dout in my mind silvias time is wel over due

I give it my vote for most boring title fight of the year. Even worse than the last AA silva fight.

And hopefully there won't be any poop stains on the canvas afterwards for GSP or hughes to slip on.

this fight is interesting due to the mismatch standing but on the flip side mismatch on the ground by far monson will only look for the takedown he has absolutly no chance otherwise.if he can take silva down at will their will be a new champ if he cant its an early ko silva that division currently is very stale.

I want to see Monsoon win just to see Tim cry because hell only be able to wear a regular belt everywhere now, but ill give him his props because of the big size difference. Monsoon better take him down or the arm reach will get him.

i agree.the takedown should be very easy with silvas height and awful footwork.so i think monson will take that belt..truth be told their both not elite

I think this fight is all monson. He'll take him down and then its all his game from there. hes been fighting big guys his whole career, he knows how to get past the reach advantage and get a guy on the ground.
