Amir Sadollah And His Future
Amir has beat CB via arm bar and become the Ultimate Fighter of season seven. I just want to know what all of your prospectives are on him. He seems like a bright kid with an amazing future ahead of him too me. I see him being a middleweight champ someday.
Also does anyone think he is going to pull a Mac Danzig and mabey move down to welterweight or move up to Light Heavy Weight? I personaly think hes gunna stay in Middleweight and dominate..
Best of luck to Amir and his future in MMA.

I am really optimistic as well. I would be leary of him moving up because his lack of knockout power. His ground game is really good. His ability to avoid damage is impressive. When he gets someone in a bad position he is so quick on those arm bars.
I like your idea about moving down I think he could be dominate.

Amir is definitely a good fighter with good potential. However, i don't see him ever being middleweight champ. I think he may reach contender level, at best, but never actually gain the title. All his wins on the show were come from behind wins. He seemed to be getting abused up till the end of the fight n all of them. Luckily for him, the skill level of the fighters on the show isn't top notch, and each opponent left an opening here n there and Amir was able to make them pay for their mistakes. Props to Amir for that, I just don't think the fighters at the top of the weight class are going to expose themselves like CB and Gerald did.

And with that being said, I really like Amir, his heart and determination, and I hope he proves me wrong.

Good chin, good composure, slick submissions, huge heart. The dude has a ton of raw talent, he needs to train in a good camp and he is going to be a threat.

amir reminds me of nate diaz in a way. at first he clearly showed he has skills, but in some of his fights he seemed just on the edge of being overwhelmed, and then he pulls out the win with some slick jiu jitsu. he has also shown some nice muay thai striking. i have to be honest and say that i thought amir was going to lose to CB both times, and both times i was proved totally wrong. i also thought amir would lose to jesse, but i am sure i was wrong about that too, amir would have submitted him easily. i am really happy that he won, i would not be surprised if he moved to WW. i really can't even imagine how happy amir must be tonight.

I actually think Amir would have a harder time with Jesse because he tends to be content with just lying in your guard and throwing small shots. The reason CB got submitted (besides Amir's slick jitz) was because he was looking to pass guard and advance position.

I don't see Sadollah becoming a UFC champion in this 185 pound division, it's too good a division, and there are a half-dozen guys who would definitely kick the sh*t out of him, and another half-dozen who would probably kick the sh*t out of him.
I like him, and I think that he's young enough where he could be a world champ one day, but he's really got to improve his all-around skills and develop his standup and his grappling.
I don't think that his wrestling is as substantial as it should be, but I think he's a good fighter and I like watching him compete. It'll be fun to see how he does.
Personally, I want to see him fight Jeremy Horn next. I think that would be a great test for him.
