Tito could never make 185 and certainly would't be a force if he had too. The guy said it on TUF3, when Ed Herman made fun of his chicken legs. That is how he makes weight at 205. Even for this last match, he had to sprint around the weight room for like 10 extra minutes to drop 2 more pounds.
You guys saying that Tito's style matches up well with Silva's, are correct. That is why I think Lindland would be a good match for the title. Lindland probably could have beat Franklin, but apparently Dana and him are having their differences and can't get negotiations together.

Tito Vs. Silva would be similar to Sherk Vs. Florian.
Tito's power would just be too much of an advantage.

P.S.
Tito would never cut the weight for the fight. Even if he could, he wouldn't. There is no reason for him to drop when he is a contender in his own weight class.

yeah he cant, nor should he, he has great fighter like liddell to deal with, why does he have to prove he can beat soemon smaller?
If silva wants to prove he can beat tito he would need to move up.

not sure about that one! comparing Silva to Florian made me spit my coffee!!! Tito is strong, but there isn't a striker anything like Silva in the rest of the UFC! he's something new to the UFC that i don't think any fighter could simply walk over!

pt447,
Read my post more closely.
I did not say florian and silva were of comparable ability. I stated that I believe Tito's strength/style would be too much for a more technical fighter like silva. It is quite a simple idea. The fact that Tito overpowers opponents in the 205 weight class leads me to believe that he could do the same in 185.

Why would tito drop the weight though. Hes already a contender in his own weight division. I think Tito is at the perfect weight right now for him. If they did fight i would like silva to win, but titos power would prob overwhelm him.

Tito gets his shot at Iceman. In the meantime, if Pete Sell wins TUF 4 then he gets a shot at Silva right? If Sell beat Silva then maybe UFC would set up a rematch of Sell vs Baroni.
