if you are talking about nate quarry you are on crack. i think rich retired him. tanner would roll right over nate. and i think he could give swick a run for his money

Oh i totally agree....and not to start a flame but, Evan all but had Rich beat in the 1st round of their title fight. I think he can beat anyone in the division on any given night. It just pisses me off to read this dudes blogs....I mean the skills are there, and the heart, just not the mind.IMHO

Marquardt would beat Tanner

Tanner's always been one of my favorites. I think he has done a great deal for this sport. Almost everyone knows who he is. He's like an icon. But's now he's becoming forgotten by a lot of newer fans, and becoming an underground favorite with the older fans. I think he should come back, he might not be the greatest in the division, but he's still a great addition to a weak and lacking division. He's better than TUF winners and they get to fight. Let him come back and become an icon again. He's one of a kind.

lets all leave messages bugging him on his myspace page. i think he should go train at chute boxe in brazil (not the hollywood location) and come back with a whole new striking ability to match his ground game.

That would be insane, he's already great in the clinch as it is. And what makes Evan so great is that he is naturally a good fighter. From what I gather from his MySpace page, he started fighting just for the hell of it, and continues to fight just for the hell of it. He doesn't seem like he would train a lot, considering he started out as just a streetfighter basically. He does very well for a freestyle fighter.

His myspace profile and blogs on there make no mention of it the contract or him returning that I could find:

Considering my avatar you know I want Evan back in the Octagon. He's always been one of my favorites and I read his blog regularly. Below is an excerpt from one of his blogs. Since his last fight in the Octagon, Evan had a break up with his woman which seems to have hurt him badly. He can't bring himself to live in the home they shared and has been doing a lot of traveling and staying with friends. He's also been drinking too much. In my opinion he has been clinically depressed. He is still training. That comes from his blog and from someone who works at the gym he goes to.

I like JFarrell's idea of Evan working out with Chute Box. The clinch has always been Evans favorite place to be.

Evan started out training on his own by learning from training tapes etc. He also is one of the first fighters that learned from various training camps. That is partially responsible for his unusual style.

For Love of the Game

Have any of you seen "For Love of the Game?" I'm watching it as I write. I've watched the movie many times. I'm getting older. I wonder if my day has ended. Is it time for my no hitter, or am I done?

I am not happy with things. I'm not happy with my life, or who I've become. I haven't spoken with Joe Silva in five months. He's the UFC matchmaker. A great guy. I had two more fights on my contract? But I don't know if they'll have me back. Maybe I've been canceled. I would understand. Dana White has always been a great guy. Donna, Kim, Sean. I know I'm forgetting a lot of people I need to recognize, but I'm so bad with names. I would like to thank everyone there for putting up with me. Everyone at the UFC has always been so nice. I've been fortunate to have been a part of the promotion.

Now I'm in Vegas. I'm not worried about me. I'll wash dishes, dig ditches, bus tables. I don't care. I don't need much. I'll manage somehow.

My total focus right now is to help my friend Malachy ready for his title fight in Caged Fury Fighting Championships in Atlantic City on Oct. 6th. My friend Joe will fight later....
