The Pre fight atmosphere was Royce Gracie making his comeback and being a living legend and hall of famer.

There were a decent amount of boo's for Hughes, but the rules were in favor of Hughes, the support of other fighters were in favor of Hughes and of course thats Dana White's boy. If you noticed before the fight they kept stating Gracie was undefeated, which he is not. You can say maybe the UFC doesn't recognize the loss, but they even have the record posted on their page, unless they updated the record too soon.

The whole story was "This will be the most watched UFC ever". What a story line Dana White has "Hughes brings down the undefeated" and by a ref stoppage.

If G.S.P. doesn't beat Hughes then I think Penn should get a rematch.

I think what the person ment is that if it were a fixed fight it would have been gracie who won beacuase of all the hype around him and all, and honestly it would have been great for business GRACIE wins, lots of old fans who stopped watching would have come back seeing an old favorite win, It would have left if open for other UFC legends to come back making more ratings and such, if it were fixed gracie would have tapped him out instead of getting beat.
