I like Matt Hammil too but I question his chin against a solid striker, he seemed easily rocked during sparring on TUF 3...and while he's really powerful and excellent at take downs he seems to not do much once he gets you there...he just kinda lays on top.
Bisping was able to hurt him and pretty much dominate him while sparring on TUF 3 but Matt has obviously been working hard training with the boys up at Big Bear...but then again I'm sure Bisping hasn't been laying around eating Doritos since he won his contract either.
It would be a wicked fight...someone phone Dana and tell him to get his ass on it.

Yeah, I give him a lot of credit though, it was only his 4th fight...

Bisping's untested, but he has showed that he has the tools to make it.
hamill is green as grass, and still keeps his hands down. I don't see why people are spewing over him. If he improves, then he's Mark Coleman part 2, but way more boring.

and if he is so horrible.... what does that say for the 4 people he beat?

Yea, but people aren't touting Seth Petruzelli as "The next big thing".

Matt Hammil is great and I think we'll see him around for a long time but Bisping has been fighting in one form or another since he was 8 years old. I dont think they're in the same league...and I disagree that Bisping isn't yet a contender in the UFC...I see more heart and fire in him than most and he's got a lot of skill too.

Bidbing was definetly a favorite of mine on TUF 3. I am extremely anxious to see him in action again. As for him vs. Hammill, Bisbing would definetely win. However, Hammill is one of the best pieces of "raw" talen out there. He can be shaped into a dominant fighter in the next few years. Until then, i want to see Bisbing rise to the top.

I would have to disagree. Matt Hamill seems to me just as bad as he started. He, unlike Kendal Grove, absorbed nothing of what Tito taught him. Sure he has takedown skills as expected of a world class wrestler but he has no ground game. He doesn't try for submissions and he doesn't have a good ground and pound. All i saw in his fight was him rubbing his elbow in the fighter's face. His stand up is horrible and i'm sure most would agree. I don't understand the hype around him. Sure he's deaf but doesn't mean he sucks at fighting. I'm waiting for a fighter half decent to show him what it means to be in mma.

they better have a great takedown def. and a great high kick preferably left
because he will take u down .and his boxing in early rounds in average which is excellent for a true wrestler.but i agree good high kick in 2nd round and game over
