Wow. VERY impressive fight by Cote. People will complain about that being boring but Cote fought an absolutely perfect fight for a guy like Almeida. That is the only realistic way for him to win that fight. Even though it wasn't that exciting I respect someone who fights smart and Cote knows damn well that if it goes to the ground he loses.
Almeida still wins that fight if he doesn't gas, he looked whacked at the end of the second. I lost a ton of points on that fight but I'm happy 'cause I really like Cote.

Not the fight I was hoping it would be. Oh well, they can't all be winners.

Being the aggerssor doesn't mean much if you don't do anything. Also in round 3 Almedia didn't really backup much. In round 2 Cote was clearly the aggressor but not so much in the 3rd.
It was a questionable round. IDK who I would really give it to. Almedia's takedown was the most important thing in the ronud to me.

I fell asleep during this fight.
Woke up at 5am and panicked that I had missed Forrest-Rampage, but luckily it hadn't even started yet.

Your crow is here boys, eat up, I told you all that Cote had alot more skills than the Lutter fight showed, I'd say 95% of this board thought I was retarted for saying Cote was gonna win this fight and turns out I was right.

I had Almeida winning it too and I got served by Cote. I started having doubts at weigh-ins when Cote looked absolutely ripped. Turns out he trained like a mad man and has the skills to stay alive versus a top shelf BJJ guy. I like both guys, so either way I was happy, but I will say I was hoping for more fireworks. I was most excited for that fight and it turned out to be a dud.

I was dissapointed to not see some heavy blows from Cote but I expected Cote to be defending alot of TD's and scrambling to bring it back standing alot, I expected Almeida to be alot less tenative as well, you could tell Cote was dissapointed in the way he won but he did what he had to considering how much was on the line. Lackluster fight but Im really excited to see Cote finally get his shot, as a perenial bridesmaid I think he is gonna be training like a man possesed for his title shot, WAR COTE!!!!
