regarding Cote getting a title shot can someone tell me wtf happened to Okami? Did the Ufc just go ahead and say "**** you, Cote/ Almeida is more exciting" to okami or what

One bad performance does not change my mind. I still think Almeida would give Silva problems.

That shows a significant lack of understanding MMA. Cote knows Almeida isn't just better on the ground, he is a LOT better. Even on top in Almeida's guard is a dangerous spot if Cote thinks Almeida has that much of an advantage over him in BJJ. Cote did exactly what he should have done, keep the fight where he wants it, not Almeida.

By your logic it would make sense to say you had no respect for Almeida because he wouldn't stand and trade with Cote in the pocket.

Cote clearly won the fight- Almeida got tired- his mouth was wide open gulping in air and Cote stuffed his takedowns in the last 2 rounds. Methinks Almeida should work on that cardio.
