You were right and I was wrong.
However I will say I'm disappointed in Cote. He like Swick when he fought Burkman was to scared of getting takendown at times and forgot to fight.
He really should've finished Ricardo as much as it pains me to say that. And because he didn't it becomes a SD and a close one because Almedia got the takedown.
BTW while Almedia has to take some heat for not being in great shape give him some credit who else when gassed throws a peruvian neck tie instead of a guillotine or an anaconda or something far more simple to pull off.

All I can say is Demian better coe out with some takedowns and savage standup or some shit to make up for that.
And good conditioning.

Not gonna argue with you about Almedia man, I was surprised how good he actually looked, I really didnt see him being as agressive with his submission attempts as he was, the second the fight would hit the ground Almeida would alreay be trying to tie Cote up in something, hell he had me worried more than once in that fight, especially that last TD I figure Cote would go nuts in the last 20 or 30 seconds as Almeida was tired and wouldnt really have time to pull much off, turns out Almedia had the same idea.

You hop into Almeida's guard and see what happens. He fought smartly.

My issue with Cote's performance is the same issue I had with Arlovski's performance against Werdum. Sure he won but he could've really pushed Almedia and finished him and he didn't

Im really not sure, the last takedown and sub attempt by Almeida proved he was stil very game even as exhausted as he was I still think if the fight hadnt ended on the ground we would have saw some last second fireworks with Cote unloading trying to knock Almeida out knowing full well that Ricardo didnt have time to sub him.

Almedia was game because he's a tough guy who's always game however he was gassed after round 1 and Cote never really put pressure on him. I like Cote just like I like Arlovski but this wasn't a good performance by him. It was smart but he should've pushed a little.
