It was a boring stand up fight in which he ran away from Gurgel. He did do some awesome trips on Gurgel and didnt get taken down (must have been Gurgels knee again) but regurdless I wasnt very impressed. Whats your thoughts on Hominick? Write back.
Hey - couldn't help notice Hominick's name out there ... he trains at Team Tompkins in London, Ontario, Canada with Sam Stout and a few other young prospects - I've checked out there gym, really grungy and dirty, but with a lot of chararcter. Hominick is a smart fighter, young, hungry, he's impressed a lot of people because he seems to have a solid stand up and excellent ground game. I agree the Gurgel fight was nothing to write home about but it did display his stand up strength - Gurgel is no slouch, trains Franklin and he's an expert black belt. Same with Yves, a well known talented quantity - when you beat 2 guys like this people start to notice.
Too bad Sam Stout lost to KenFlo, he would have fought Sherk for the title but maybe Hominick will get the chance first
