Agreed. It's plausible that Silva might find his home at 205 if he finds success as a Light Heavyweight.

Yeah definitely. If he is able to hang physically with Irvin (who has a HW frame)then I think he would be strong enough to hang with any of the LHWS. IMO I dont see Chuck, Wandy, Thiago Silva, Sokky, Machida, or any of the other upper tier LHW's being that much more physically stronger than Irvin.

The true sign I believe will come in two ways. The clinch, and if Silva's one punch power, i.e. if he can floor Irvin with a single clean shot.

Anderson has already stated he doesnt plan to make a run at the LHW title as Lyoto is his friend and training partner and he wouldnt want to rob Machida of his chance at the title.

It is possible for Silva to be LHW champ without having to fight Machida or "rob him" of anything.

How many people has Anderson really dropped with one shot? Anderson uses his technique to overwhelm opponents usually drops them with a series of punches not a single punch ala Chuck Lidell. I agree about the clinch though and am eager to see how Silva utilizes it, I would completly write it off as a weapon for him other than a comment from Franklin talking about how Anderson felt like a HW in the clinch he was so strong. If we dont see a clinch Im really gonna be dissapointed.
