Randy still needs to fight Nog. I will be at the front of the line to see Randy vs Fedor, but he should give Nog the respect he deserves. Even as a fan of Randy's it never sat right with me that he has dismissed Nog as a less important fight. It's a bad matchup for him, sure, but he has always wanted to fight the best and to me that means he needs to face Nog who did a better job with Tim than Randy was able to.

As for what Fedor did with Tim... well, enough said.

I have given up on this situation. Nogueira is the rightful UFC champ because Randy has refused to defend his belt against him so in my mind he forfeits the belt.

The UFC can and will keep this in court with appeals long after people have stopped caring. I am much more interested in speculating over a fight that actually has potential to take place like Fedor/Barnett or Fedor/Arlovski than one that has no chance to take place like Fedor/Couture.

You know, it isn't Randy's choice to be the UFC Champ, it's the UFC's choice.

And "Champions clause"???

by the time all this is over fedor and randy will be fighting in wheel chairs in a retirement home. and when one of the dozes off for a nap the other will try and smother him with a pillow until the nurse injects the other with his meds and they both fall aslepp for a mid day nap

Right, I didnt mean that to be an insult to Randy because he has openly said he no longer considers himself the UFC champ; he wants out and I assume recognizes Nogueira as the new champ.

But I was just saying that many people think that Big Nog isnt the champ until he beats the champ. Well he has no problem doing so but the champ wont fight, so he IS the champ.

I could care less about the Randy/Fedor fight. It's not interesting to me at all. I'd much rather see Randy/Big Nog so that Randy can lose the belt and then Nog will no longer be the interim champ.

Werdum/Randy should happen. since nog/mirs happenin already. Ufc should agree to let randy out of his contract if he fights werdum. werdum would win, then the fedor fight wuld be a non issue. Im sorry but Randy cannot beat the top 4 or 5 hwts, fedor, nog, werdum,AA, and maybe Barnet 50/50. You can't have that old of a fighter with that much ring rust be expecting to beat these guys.

In hindsight i bet he wishes that he just defended twice and moved on. Although that ship has sailed now, and i suppose he didn't want to risk losing, thus negating the need to see the Fedor fight.

The whole situation kinda blows for everyone, but most of all for Randy. Fedor is still king, and the UFC rolls on.

Demian Maia may be the Fred Astaire of jiu-jitsu, but it’s too bad Silva is the Gene Kelly of kicking everyone’s ass.
