Griffin should fight Machida
Right its time for the UFC to give Machida the chance he deserves, Griffin barely won the last fight by a round and imo 5 rounds would be perfect for Machida who in my eyes is slow but methodical and would imo get to KO Griffin.
There are no others imo that deserve a shot first.

If Machida gets past Thiago without injury, I think he should get the title shot next. But in all honesty, there are bigger, more money fights, like Chuck, Shogun, Rampage II etc. etc.
I think Machida will get a title shot in early summer of 09.

i love how forrest beats 2 #1 LHW in a row and still gets no love. he could very well lose it in his next fight, but to give him no chance of retaining the belt seems a little foolish.

I agree with you but where could Forrest take the fight against Machida and have the advantage? Nowhere, maybe ground and pound but I doubt he could do much with Machida there. I am not a Machida fan at all but he would beat Forrest in a most likely boring decision. I would not be too excited to see this fight.
The only guy out there that could force Machida to be exciting is A. Silva but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for that matchup.

i am in no way debating that he could lose to machida. all i am saying is that he is pretty much being given the same chance that he was against the other 2. each fighter he came up with a good game plan and won the fight.

Machida should get the next shot, however, as BP said, he probably won't considering so many people do not enjoy his fights. Personally I like Machida alot and I can't wait to see him fight again!

I know he has skill but who has this guy beaten to warrant a title shot?

Forrest is still underrated, but to be honest I can't pick him over chuck, lyoto or rampage again. I pick him almost everyone else though, na everyone else

i would definitely pick forrest over rampage again, even if the unfortunate incident with rampage did not occur. picking forrest over chuck is a bit more difficult, but i can see forrest achieving a win in this match-up. it is certainly possible that chuck could knock him out, but it is also possible that forrest could frustrate him and turn the fight in his favor. i cannot pick forrest over lyoto, no disrespect to forrest here at all, but i believe that lyoto has a different level of skill and ability in comparison.
