Title shot for Swick? Predictions?

I think #1 Contender could be swick, i think they should give him a fight against Franklin, if he can beat him he could definatly fight Silva, but i doubt Franklins gonna be fighting too soon, think Swick is ready? how will he match up?

What reason do you base the fact that if Swick could beat Franklin he could [U]DEFINITELY[U] beat Silva? Silva dismantled Franklin and Leben. Swick lost to Leben. Swick looked average against a nervous Loaiseau. When Loaiseau started to press the action Swick looked like he wasn't ready for someone on his level. The MW division does not have an answer for Silva right now. Lindland would be a good match-up because of his wrestling ability. i think If Fitch could move up and fight well at that weight he would be a good match-up.

I think it is more likely for Mike Swick to die in the ring than it is for him to beat Anderson Silva.

The only style that Silva doesn't have an answer for is a dominant wrestler. Look at the fight between him and Ryo Chonnan.

i don't want ot jump on the pride VS UFC bandwagon but i do agree anderson is something no one is ready for.

Certenly not swick, i still think franklin would be swick they are on the same level, Anderson is on a different level.

i didnt say beat, i said fight, and i know hed lose, probably bad, but right now theirs no one to fight Silva, the number one contender for Franklin, if he would have beaten Silva, would have been Swick, both Franklin and Swick have only fought and beaten average fighters, and never really been tested, i didnt even think Swick could beat Franklin, but Franklins done, i dont think hell ever be the same again after that beatdown, the only people that have/could fight Franklin is Louseiu and Swick, Louseiu would get dismantled by Silva, becuase Rich owned him, Swick beat him as well. if Swick could fight Franklin and possibly win then he would be the number 1 contender, hed still lose, but at least their would be somone to fight Silva

I was see him fight Franklin and Leben before he gets a title shot.

I still think Lindland is the best match-up against Franklin and sorry about misreading fight for beat. Lindland's ability to take the fight to the mat and not get submitted while still efectively striking would be the best chance at winning. And when Silva is on his back he often tries to throw strikes still. That would leave him open for big elbows and possible subs. But Silva is a very smart fighter and all footage of him on his back was when elbows were illegal so he could and probably would bring a different strategy.

I think Swick has very little chance of beating Silva.

Before you say something stupid you might want to think about this shit.

Why is everyone forgetting about Nate Marquardt as number one contender? He should be in line ahead of Swick. Swick needs to win another fight while he's waiting his turn.
