If by 'Dana' you mean the UFC, that's true of everything involving MMA in the US, not just Tapout. Even so, Tapout had to become successful before the UFC would acknowledge their existence.

jasvil as far as your theory goes that is correct for many fighters but not for Sunshine...he quit fighting pro for the most part and I doubt he used tapout he was just on their show.
Assuming he wasn't sponsored by Tapout and that they weren't considering sponsoring him (why else would they give him free publicity on their show?), are you suggesting he didn't get paid for his appearance? Are you suggesting that he didn't expect to benefit from nationwide exposure? If he chose not to be sponsored by them but took advantage of their marketing resources anyway and cashed a TV appearance check, it seems he used Tapout more than the sponsored fighters. At least they offered the company something in return.

The point is just cuz you want sponsers doesnt mean you should be exploited and have your gym dragged through the mud, watch the show....
As I already said, I'm not disputing Lauzon's account or saying Tapout is infallible. I was just pointing out their long term contributions to MMA to the posters that seemed unaware that they did anything other than annoy fighters and fans.

For the record, I don't own any Tapout clothing and quit watching their show toward the end of the first season.

the UFC doesn't give Tapout that advertising space.

they pay for it.

I hate the gaudy TapouT logo on everything so I don't actually own any tapout stuff.

yeah hangin around small shows and begging fighters to wear their gear...at least at the beginning, and without the UFC they still would be....

you dont know he was paid he could have just got gear and exposure but thats not the point tapout needs Sunshine to have content on their show, i WAS suggesting that they get something out of having these guys on their show...

what exactly would their long term contribution be besides using fighters to promote their merchandise?????

why not??? think about your need to make that clear for everyone and where that need comes from...

I definitely agree

I couldn't believe this episode, i was really surprised to see that Dan actually went to sidtyotong. I mean he grew up around there he knows about it he just chooses to train where him and his bro grew up training. I'm sure it was VERY uncomfortable for him being there, and i usually don't mind the tap out guys but i think they should have been smart enough to know that Joe was fighting Kenny and that it would be an awkward situation.
