Who can beat GSP?

Hey all,

I just don't see who could beat GSP in his division. Bj Penn would get tired after 2 rounds (+ now he's heavier) and either TKo'ed in the last rounds or loose by unanimous decision. Thiago Alves would be taken down and destroyed just like he did against Fitch. What do you guys think? Should GSP defend his title another 2/3 fights and if undefeated move to 185?

Thiago Alves has the best shot.

His TDD has been getting a lot better.
His striking is top notch.
He's a very big WW.

Alves has the best shot.

x2. I think Avles has the best shot. Very Well rounded and heavy handed. But I don't think he could stop the takedowns of St. Pierre

Alves does looks scary and super strong. He lost against Fitch though.. I see him having trouble against well conditioned tall opponents.

GSP might just win this standing up and taking his time. It is still a fight I want to see!

The guy has gotta make weight first.

His last bouts have been over the limit... I would want to see him make the weight then judge his abilities.

I'm gonna have to go with BJ Penn. He seems to want this fight and if he got his cardio to where it should be, I see him pulling off a decision.

BJ.
I don't know who's thinking BJ would have bad cardio given his recent fights, and he been finished like ONCE (Hughes) so i don't see GSP being able to finish him.

Taking BJ down? Not real easy, and not easy to keep him there.
His guard's dangerous as hell.

Standing up? IDK. Watch their last fight's standup in the first. BJ won it.

I think it'd be very close, but BJ'd get a sub in a later round.

BJ's training has changed completely since he's face George and Hughes 2 years ago and so has his cardio. Cardio is something that can improve easily if you stick to it which BJ has and even admitted that was his flaw, he didn't train like he should, now all that has changed.

I can remember a young Tito fighting Frank Shamrock, and finally his cardio was exposed and lost that fight with Frank playing Tito like a fiddle. After that fight Tito changed his training and is now known for having great stamina in his fights.

BJ and Alves have the best chance at taking down GSP.
