Saturday Night

Any of you notice that Spike TV is putting on a UFC marathon the same night Pride is having their event? I don't think this was a coincidence, but a strategic business move by Dana...... We'll have to see how many people buy the Pride PPV now that Spike is having this marathon. Just thought it was interesting......

Very smart move by the UFC. That surely is going to eat into Pride buyrate from the causal fans and those fans who may not know much about Pride.

Pogo

If I were home I'd order Pride just to support them. Hope they get a good amount of PPVs

i agree it is a very smart move on dana's part. this way the less hardcore mma fans will probably watch the marathon instead of pride because the pride ppv costs money but the marathon is free.

I've got them both on. I wheeled my bedroom TV into the living room for the Ultimate Knockouts marathon. So far so good. Very exciting!

Would have been even smarter to make the Ken Shamrock fight tonight instead of 2 tuesdays ago.

That would have KO'd Pride.

The UFC just showed Randleman, Coleman, Vitor and Barnett all getting KTFO. I wonder if that was just a coincidence b/c those 4 fighters happen to be starring on the Pride card tonight.

Edited to add Vitor.

They just showed 2 Baroni knock outs and 2 Lawler KOs so I guess it was just a coincidence.
