Silva (Yaya i know what ur thinkin "how unfair" but all you guys just need to face the facts for what they are). As for recovery time the fight is likely to be an intensified sparring match but with Liddell actually KO'ing intead of pretending to. Aside from the cut i can see Chuck considering the time from when Forrest won to December as extended preparation for a title fight.

Neways me completely writing off Rashad aside a four month turnaraound for Chuck is doable and the past two years the UFC has made it a point to have him on the NYE card. BTW the bold part who do you suggest would fight Forrest in December if not Chuck? Surely u didn't mean Wandy?
Problem is in the case the LHW bout occurs in December, which probably will, aside Chuck and Wandy I dont really see someone else for the title shot. I'm aware Chuck is UFC's favorite fighter, they want to put him for title matches as much as they can mainly because he brings them the most PPVs.
But what if he looses against Evans, then who do u think will get the shot in December?

Did you not see my absolute hate of Rashad? Rashad winning is more impossible then Jardine winning but i refuse to acknowledge that Evans has any chance to win as ingnorant and cocky as that may seem. Neway say the impossible happens and somehow Rashad gets a victory cuz Chuck got DQ'd for not showing mercy or something then i think Wandy/Rampage winner gets it. But if all goes as it should we will see Chuck vs. Forrest late 2008/early 2009 and Wandy vs. Machida in early 2009.

Either Evans or the winner of T. Silva-Lyoto Machida.

I can't imagine them giving Rashad a title show if he wins. Not only would it be a ground battle, but also when Jardine beat Forrest and Chuck he basically didn't get to do anything, except lose to Alexander and Wandy.

T Silva would also be amazing if he got the shot. He is aggressive and would make a GREAT fight, but his name isn't as widely knowned.

And well, we all know why no one wants Lyoto to have a shot.

Ya its pretty obvious who the UFC is banking on in that fight cuz if Chuck doesnt win then the division is ****ed up again. Honestly i think they hate all the other options so much they'll postpone the LHW title shot til the Wandy/Rampage is settled or in an epic ownage on Rashad give Chuck the title shot anyway

I doubt the UFC are going to blow out the next event because of a giant card. That would cost a VERY high amount with the big event and people won't be very interested in the next card as not much "star power" would be featured.

I think it will be a card like UFC 66, average card but a big main event so i am thinking St Pierre Vs Penn for the main event.

well, if Machida finishes T.Silva convincingly and Rashad beats Chuck, Lyoto could be having his lucky day.

I dunno, two title fights already + shogun sounds good so far. As for the January card i believe they have Matt Hughes vs. Matt Serra lined up for that main event and they'd prolly bust out another Anderson Silva fight at LHW. Seriously the UFC is more stacked then its ever been and i think they have enough fighters to go big at the NYE card and put a very solid one on in January.

Lyoto or Alves means 2 fights in 2 months for them if the LHW shot was on NYE. 2 months to heal and prepare for a title shot.. Hardly feasible.
So yeah Chuck must win or we get screwed.

Well...

GSP vs Penn is likely
Nog vs Mir is set
W. Silva is most likely going to be on it possibly against the winner of Chuck/Rashad
Shogun vs Coleman was rumored
I expect to see Gray Maynard on the main card against someone like Stevenson

Before I was thinking Hughes vs Serra, but now I believe they will save that one for January
