Bigfoot: “Nobody in UFC can beat Nogueira”
Quote:
Antônio “Bigfoot” Silva’s life couldn’t be better. With no losses for almost two years, the EliteXC heavyweight champion is celebrating his win, but already thinks in his back to defend his belt. “I’m happy, but I’m back on training because I might come back in September to defend my belt. I passed a week with my family and it was great, but I’m back here (ATT) now”, said the athlete, that analyzed Rodrigo Nogueira’s next fight in UFC.
“Frank Mir ix an excellent fighter, has a good ground game and is not a fool standing up, but not because I’m a huge Nogueira fan or friend, but nobody in UFC can beat him. Everything can happen in a fight, but I believe nobody can beat him there”, bet the athlete, cheering for his friend to keep his Ultimate belt.

I'm a huge nog fan but i think that Werdum could pose some problems for him and of course if ufc signed fedor.

Werdum is the only one with a shot and if he was American he would be on TUF 8 getting a title shot instead of Mir.

I do think Werdum has a decent chance to beat Nog in the rematch.
As to Silva's comments "Well like that's his opinion man".

You don't think he has improved? I think he has improved DRASTICALLY in the standup - his Jitzu is better than Nogueira's. The fight was close in 2006 anyway. I would pick Werdum, while I would hope Nog wins.

Agreed. Werdum has come a very long way with his standup by training with Chute Box. While I'm not sure his Jiu Jitsu is better than Noguiera's, it's certainly comparable.
This one would be a very even fight and very difficult to call.
Liking Big Nog better, I'd stick with him.
*edit*
I'd rep you again, but I can't yet.

Werdum's Jiu Jitsu is some of the best in the world, unfortunately it is better than Nogs IMO He's a two time world champ and Abu Dhabi 2007 World heavy Champ - that is the top of the heap for Sub Grappling.
Thanks for the rep, I gave you some in the other thread

Although Nog managed to sweep him from half guard a couple fo times, showing that the Nog-jutsu certainly is legit in MMA against top grappling competition.
I've got Nog here (it's close though) since I think people have missed tha fact that Nogueira also has improved. (It didn't show to much in the Sylvia fight)

Yeah man, I don't dispute that Nog is legit there, and that fight is close on the ground for sure, I just think Werdum will be slightly better.
It's hard to tell if Nog is better than he was then

He's right. There's no one in the UFC that can beat him, unless Randy comes back. I'm not saying for sure that Couture could beat him, but he'd have a chance. There are really 4 guys at the top of the Heavyweight division: Couture, Fedor, Nog, and Barnett. I don't see anyone else beating any of these guys.
