Anderson Silva wants to fight Bisping in his home country?

For some reason I ended up in Sherdog and saw this story

Quote:
Brazilian bruiser Anderson Silva is happy to fight British bulldog Michael Bisping in his own backyard.

Silva says he would be happy to travel to these shores and defend his UFC world middleweight title against ‘The Count’.

It’s the kind of mouth-watering match-up that will give Bisping even more of an incentive to beat Chris ‘The Crippler’ Leben at Birmingham’s NIA on October 18.

Silva said: “I would like to fight Michael Bisping in his home country in front of all of his own fans.

“That is the kind of challenge I would like to take on. I would enjoy going somewhere overseas like Britain to fight.”

Silva is one of the most feared men ever to climb into the octagon, winning all of his seven contests since joining the UFC just over two years ago.

The 23-year-old has been thinking of moving up to the light-heavyweight division but is now likely to stay a very considerable force in the 185lbs ranks.

He makes the next defence of his title against American Patrick Cote at UFC 90 in Chicago on October 25.

Silva is a firm odds-on favourite to win, but Cote insisted: “I think I have the best style to beat this guy.

“I have a good chin, I’ll go forward and I won’t be scared of him like many of his opponents have been.”

I'm a big fan of andy... but that seems like it might be crossing over into showboating. But I dunno... either way, I'm glad any time I can see him fight.

Defecato, ergo sum.

I don't think Bisping would make it out of the first minute, honestly,

Cote won't make it out of the first round

Bad matchup for Bisping. Bisping is a very good MW but Anderson is better at everything. It would look alot like the Franklin fights.

It sounds to me like the UFC told Silva to say this to hype the fight. This is probably more likely to happen then the Chuck or Okami fights.

I have a hard time seeing Bisping beating Leban let alone posing a threat to Silva. I think Silva isn't trying to be a showboat, he's just trying to gain the reputation of being the fighter that will fight anyone, anywhere and being successful at that.

This Time ... Break It!

FFL Season 3: 11th Place
Quinton Jackson vs. TBA
Gesias Calvancante vs. TBA
Fabricio Werdum vs. TBA
Thales Leites vs. Anderson Silva

Anderson is only 23? I thought he was older then that.
