I really dont know what else we can even say about this topic... I myself have posted on wandy vs Chuck countless times in numerous threads. It's getting quite tiresome and just want to see the damn thing happen already haha.

you know what would be smart? if they both purposely put off this fight until the fans reach a boiling point at which profit is endless for both companys just thought of that now hahhah but anysways i wanna see that fight so bad SILVA FTW:laugh:

Listen fellas, Chuck and Wandy fighting is out becasue Wandy got KOed. His winning the Pride tournament was a condition upon which this fight was conceived. Chuck fought one opponent and won, and Wandy fought a number of oppoents and lost. It ain't happening anytime soon so the waiting game begins. Have patience.....:dunno:

Chuck vs wandy .I give it to chuck all the way. Wandy is probably my favorite fighter. Been watching him since he was an unknown in the US. He is to open for punches, and with chuck it dont take many. He has heart but that wont do it. I think with all his fights he is a little past his prime and chuck is in his. Love to watch wandy fight, but would rather see shogun rua fight liddell. Anything can happen that is why I paid to see ken fight Tito the second time. But I needed this chuck wandy fight a year ago.

It will happen in UFC if it happens at all. Dana isn't stupid enough to allow Chuck to fight Silva on a Pride PPV in the US, which is pretty much the home of UFC. Now if Chuck just goes to Pride (expired contract or w/e) then there is nothing Dana can do about it. Only other way I can see it happening is if Pride And UFC put on a joint show and that seems like a very long shot.

It will happen in UFC. Also I think Wanderlei's stand up is tailor made for Chucks unorthodox striking. Watch Silva's stance vs. Chuck's hooks. Perfect for a KO. I like Silva and Chuck but I would bet on Chuck this one. If Chuck used straight shots and jabs alot I would go with Silva. But he doesnt so enough said.

i think a there should be an organization (outside pride/ufc/k1) where you get paid an excellent chunk of $ to actually find out whos the best in the world...say every two years

Angles is what beats Silva. Cro Cop proved that with the left off the ropes that put Silva on his ass. Liddell has been mixing his style up pretty good calculating when he's going to be aggressive and when he's going to move and counter. Chuck also throws a better variety of punches than Silva, and from different angles.

Silva is a FIERCE fighter who seems to wake up when he's been hit hard. He's got two speeds - 0 to 100 to 0 to 100 - fighting like a wolverine. He's physically strong, well balanced and extremely dangerous in the clinch, and though he swings wildly ALL of the punches are fast and hard to the point that I've seen some of his opponents physically moved from a forearm, rather than a fist, landing on their upper body. I think Silva's aggression can cause problems for Liddell who's fights with controlled aggression. Or it can work against him as Chuck could move and counter him effectively for the knockout.

I ain't making a pick yet....it's too damn early and the fight's not even on the radar......yet.

I'm with you ShootBoxer. I think Chuck is great and I don't like Wandy but he is also a great fighter. That's what makes this fight worth seeing. Can Chuck survive that flurry? Can Wandy survive those bombs? I would expect one or the other to be KTFO within the first few minutes. The longer the fight goes the advantage goes to Wandy I think.

Silva comes at you with everything, from punch flurries to clinch/knees, to kicks and stomps to finish you. I saw him damn near KO a heavyweight (name escapes me at the moment) with repeated knees to the face, all in RAPID SUCCESSION. And this after a failed attempt at taking Silva down. Silva's a ferocious fighter known in Portuguese as "mad dog".

My nephew and I was checking clips of Silva out and during one of his prefight zoom-in stare-downs from his corner (while doing that hand exercise) my nephew says to me "uncle, he looks like he's possessed!"

I about shit myself laughing.

Has anybody seen Chucks defense for a clinch?
Exactly! The ring vs. the cage has no bearing because Wanderlei loves the clinch. The best way to beat heavy strikers is to take them out of their game, ie: Couture vs. Chuck 1, Couture vs. Rizzo. And do keep in mind Coutures clinch is not like a hard to break 2 handed Muay Thai clinch, its a one handed dirty boxing style.

Wanderlei did state recently that he intends to open a full on training facility in LA very soon and wants to compete MMA in the USA. He might just step in like Anderson did. People want this fight, and with the "upset" Anderson had. It finally shows the US what kind of guys are coming out of Chute Boxe.

There is a Chute Boxe USA gym in LA newly opened. Alas, I wish I lived on the west coast as they don't have on on the east coast. :( .....yet. :D

Umm I'm a big Liddell fan myself but you went too far there buddy lol. Wand would be an excellent match up with Liddell, so would Shogun, Nog and Arona. Prides top MW's would all be dream matches if they fought Chuck. You ever notice how Chuck is the only LHW from the UFC ranked in the top 5?? Oh yeah.. waht do you mean "you think" Fedor could beat Chuck? Haha there's no question about it, Fedor would pound his ass. Try watching some MMA, its good stuff man lol.

Iceman, I like Chuck but fact is he couldn't outstrike or put away Jackson, and thats something Wanderlei did twice.
Jackson today against Chuck would just not be the same as seeing it again over 3 years ago. Jackson, sorry to say, is not the same fighter anymore. Chuck has only improved and if a Chuck vs Rampage 2 were to take place Chuck would be in kill mode. You know he's been itching to avenge that loss from over 3 years ago. Most are just wanting to see fighters still in their prime go 1 on 1 and aguable the 2 best LHW's in the world right now are Wand and Chuck. After Tito in December it will be interesting to see where Chuck goes... does he try to take on some UFC HW's or does Pride and UFC get their shit together for some dream matches??... nobody knows :dunno:

Chuck is different now, he's won since Couture so he hasn't gone the distance in some time. He's also a 1 trick pony, "granted its a great trick" but Wanderlei is more rounded and just as capable of the KO. Plus coming off of his losses Wandy has learned some things. The way things seem to be going id doubt the fans are going to get this fight anyway.
