Thats the most ridiculous thing that I've heard in while. Chuck has plenty of fight left in him whether he wins or loses this fight. Reporters are such morons these days.

i see it as more of a jab at Rashad Evans in that it would be completely embarassing to lose to him that the iceman would have to retire

It's insane the telegraph is commenting on a ufc fight - mainstream here we come

I don't think Rashad has a hope in hell.

I really dont even think this will be a question because Liddell wont lose this fight but there is no way he should retire. He still has TONS of drawing power and can headline cards and make big paydays with big fights.

Even if he loses people still want to see Liddell/Wandy 2, Liddell/Page 3, Liddell/Shogun, and Liddell/Lyoto.

Chuck will walk through Rashad so this is really a mute point. While I like Rashad, he's in over his head in this one. Chuck will not only KO Rashad but regain the title after that. So this retirement crap is just that...a load of sh1t.

I'm not a huge Chuck fan, but I love watching him fight because he always fights the best. Win, Lose or Draw he should not retire he is far to valuable to mma and the ufc. Chuck still has power and if he beats Evans he could make another run at the title. As long as he is fighting good opponents and having epic battles why would he retire.

If he does loose I would maybe like to see him have a crack at the HW division, he could be devastating with his speed and explosiveness in that division. If Randy Couture can knock dudes out in HW why couldn't Chuck??? Anyway maybe I'm dreaming but would be fun to watch and give the division a bit more credit.

in a way if chuck loses it shows he's losing it a bit, even though his loss to jardine was a split, and chuck wasn't really prepared imo so I dont count that as a huge loss unlike say the way silva lost 2 in a row, but he shouldn't retire he needs to fight shogun and another top contender and if he were to lose them then he should retire.

I listened to the guy talk on the setanta sports news, the one who wrote the article, he is a noob mma fan, they do a bit of research and act like they know everything he even said he knocked out silva in the last fight, maybe it was just a basic error so I'll let him off, as long as mma is getting exposure.

Everyone on this thread says that Chuck is going to steamroll through Evans.. I don't get it.

We all know that Chuck does well against wrestlers, Rashad is aware of this. He'll just have another gameplan. If Chuck goes into this fight with the strategy he used against Couture, Rashad will have the answer.
