diego has a really really awesome top game....but does he have the wrestling to get the fight there...?

i don't think pulling guard against alves is that smart...alves' ground and pound is devastating...and his size adv. will really be displayed there...

as an alves biggest fear is the first round...where alves has publicly stated he isn't as aggressive for whatever reason...diego could capitalize there....

Yeah, but its not like he fought people easy to submit...

Florian has never been submitted
Gassaway just got overwhelmed
Diaz has never been submitted
Alessio, stupid ref let them walk around piggy backing the whole time
Riggs got KO'd quickly
Koscheck wasn't even a fight
Fitch is well, Fitch, he's been subbed once and that was his first fight
Bielkheden was overwhelmed also
Fioravanti just did a good job at keeping the fight on the feet.

Anyways what I'm trying to say is, Diego has tremendous skills on the ground, but he hasn't been able to show that in awhile because the competition he has faced has been pretty good and the people you would have expected him to sub was the people he TKO'd

That'd be Steve Mazzagatti.

And I agree.
