Was reading some comments on a blog last week. A few guys were taking about how good of westlers Griffin & Edgar were, and how they should be ranked higher than Gomi. If you ask me Gomi's record says it all, and if you were to match these guys up Gomi would finish. The way i see it; worse cases if Gomi makes a mistake he gets taken down (both can't hardly finish a fight). If either of those guys makes a mistake against gomi...KO!!

Edgar's too small, in my opinion to beat Gomi. Edgar's a stud, but Gomi's wrestling is really good and his stand-up is better than Edgar's. Frankie's not going to KO Gomi standing and I don't think he could take him down. Frankie should probably move down to 145.

Griffin, I feel, can beat Gomi in about a year, since his stand-up is getting better and his sub game is really good. I think he could take Gomi down if he needed to, since his wrestling is solid. If he were to get Takanori down, he could sub him. Griffin's really turning into a great fighter. Training with Couture has done wonders for him.

Yea I'm a huge Edgar fan but Gomi's really big and Edgars small.

Edgar would have trouble getting him down and Frankie doesn't have much as far as finishing skills yet so Gomi would have a lot of chances to KO him standing.

I think Griffin would try to bang with Gomi and get KTFO. I'd say Edgar might have a better chance but I still don't see it.

I thought Griffin looked way smaller than Edgar when they fought. I guess he just looked smaller cause he was shorter, hmmmm

I don't think size is really a MAJOR problem, I mean, Edgar man handled Fisher, and dude used to fight at WW. The problem I see with Edgar vs GOmi is that Gomi has great wrestling, and there's no question about his striking, he would easily pick Edgar apart.

As for Griffin, I think he has frustrating wrestling skills, where he will most likely overpower you the whole match, but he hasn't shown me anything much in the submissions category, and although his striking is clean, I don't think it does too much damage, meanwhile Gomi's has bricks for hands and concrete in his head.

The only way I see either of them winning is somehow by points, via the Keith Jardine vs Chuck Liddel method.
