i jsut finished wathing the UFC 88 countdown which Rich said Hammil and him used to train together.
Now before I watched that I thought Hamill would win but now Rich knows what to expect from Matt's wrestling which is what I thought would win the fight for Hamill. Either that or a solid punch but Franklin's striking is way better than Hamill's its just that Hamill has more power.

I'm going with Rich, he takes the fight on the feet and IF Hamill can take him down I don't see Franklin being on his back long.

I still cant pick a clear winner in this fight. Hammill has the kind of wrestling skills that can take anyone down and keep them there. I dont see Franklin KOing Hammill but if he can keep the fight standing I think he would win a decision.
Close fight.

Hamill is my sleeper of the night! I won't cheer against ACE though.

Agreed, I don't know why all the Hamill love. Rich won't be easy to take down, and he can defend pretty well down there, has a very good clinch game and it's a lot better standing up. If Hamill coulnd't stay on top of bisping for more than a round, I don't see him staying on top of Franklin even that round.

I was introduced to Matt by my boxing coach and Matt came in to help me with my wrestling and quite honestly, the first couple times we worked out I felt so helpless against him when we were wrestling I thought to myself "Man, what the heck would I do if I had to fight his guy?"
-Rich Franklin
I think Rich understands the obstacles better than some here. Matt sure keeps his hands low, but if Boetsch couldn't knock him out with that flush knee that obliterated Hamill's lip, I have a hard time seeing Ace knocking him out. I see a decision win, could go either way. I'm leaning Hamill as we get closer...

Yeah Rich is v good against people who aren't Silva. Not as good as top lhw guys, but better than beginners like Hamil.
